There is a jungle in URF!!!

"but 1v2 top!!!"

if you are going top you should be prepared for 1v2. If you cant handle it on a decent toplaner (for urf) then you are bad and deserve to lose horribly anyways

I'll let the others go into detail about why sending two top is stupid in any mode if you have the option to jungle and camp people in a mode where dragon can be taken at level 3 or really level 1 by some champs.

ALSO

if there is no jungler then there should be 2 mid in some cases.

the point of urf is to spam the shit out of moves into the enemy's face, not farm the jungle like a regular game...

CerealBoxOfDoom1 votes

did it occur to you that you may be able to spam even more if you go jungle?

if clearing takes like 4 mins normally how fast in urf??

Flaherty1 votes

every second you're in the jungle is one less second you could be throwing 7 twin fangs into a person's face

CerealBoxOfDoom1 votes

what if you weren't going to be twinfanging regardless because of anti-fun spam from the other team

Flaherty1 votes

that would defeat the purpose of the game mode

I don't think zed cares, nor does viegar

This is the most retarded post ive read. URF is about having no mana, insane damage. 2v1 in norms? Understandable because they have to worry about their mana and what not. In URF, youll just get abilities used on you every second youre there. 0 Point of a jungler when you can just have flash and tp and have a fair lane top. Junglers also are always the same level than what theyd be if they just went top for 2v2.

This is the most retarded post ive read.

I'm sure the 16+ I've won the 1v2 lane against used to think the same thing.

775 upvotes? How many posts have you even seen? This is a far cry from retarded and not wrong at all.

URF is about having no mana, insane damage.

And thus no minions and always having your countermeasure up in case they dive.

Its not just "understandable", only noobs waste all that jungle gold and gimp their toplaner. Its not just about mana, the sololaner will level faster than either of his opponents and may also get more gold. Exhausting resources was never the reason why 1v2 worked IN FAVOR of the sololaner. The two must kill or starve the one utterly and completely to compensate or they will both get screwed over.

bullshit,

even in normal games the jungler is the same level because they DIDNT go top. If you both go top you share lane experience and thus level more slowly in a game mode where leveling can easily scale harder than cheap items.

Additionally there's more gold to go around and lost lanes get superganked by urf jungler

Again, your claim is bullshit.

Urf jungler clears nearly twice as fast as normal and doesn't have to manage as many resources. That means you get gold nearly twice as fast and gank nearly twice as often.

Urf jungler, if you get a decent jungling champ, will be the first to level 4 and first to level 6 if the ganks go well. Ive had games where I was 2 levels ahead of the FED enemy botlane

By the way I just got back from a 1v2 top, I was playing ahri, it went fine. I got an S+ that match. I was against gragas + shaco that time though

if you went jung and left me alone top I would feed so hard the game would be over in less than 10 min

CerealBoxOfDoom1 votes

And if I went didn't leave you alone I'd be playing with a noob child who shouldn't even be playing this game.

Either way you're dead weight

You realize gragas and shaco arent good in URF right.

CerealBoxOfDoom1 votes

yes, based off the wording of my post I probably meant to imply this.

But both can poke someone out of lane and most top combos aren't going to be that good in urf regardless once they start falling behind in levels

all you have to do is not die

No flash no life1 votes

it doesn't matter if you're 1v1, 1v2, or 1v3, you're supposed to go clear nearby jungle camp after you clear the wave.

  • If you're facing a poking opponent you should avoid getting poked by doing that.
  • If you're a poking champ your opponents won't be there to let you poke, they'll be clearing jungle camps so if you don't do the same you'll be behind.
  • If all of you are poking champs then clear camp (doesn't even take long) so your level is ahead and poke hurts more
  • if none of you is poking then clear camp to get to 6 earlier than your opponents.

The jungle is there and has to be taken because the resource in lane is too limited considering how much you can spam spells to waveclear, leaving you with nothing else to do after. Hence, generally there is no junglar in URF, because the entire team will be clearing jungle camps, leaving a dedicated junglar nothing to kill.

CerealBoxOfDoom1 votes

to do this is a waste of time unless you can actually clear it fast and clear it without wasting resources (health, wards, time, charges)

Dedicated jungler farms what he can, if they took the mobs then go kill dragon, you should be able to do it by level 6 as any urf jungler

Most normal junglers can kill it by level 3 in urf

some can kill it at level 1

yes I do mean solo

If dragon is gone gank, camp, or invade

If someone is stuck in a poke lane your ganks provide opportunities both in lane and in neighboring lanes for them to get gold

also it doesn't really matter that much if its a 1 v not 1 lane if the minions are always dead and you have ANY form of cc

PhDs Nuts1 votes

If you have Varus, Xerath, Jayce, Nasus, or anyone that can spam ranged abilities on waves, there's no reason to pair him with a lane partner if you can jungle, especially if your jungler is a melee that's useless until level 3 or 6 anyway (especially if it's Vi, Zac, or Sejuani). Non-warrior Smite items are also OP in URF.

CerealBoxOfDoom1 votes

warrior isn't bad either considering the cheap price

Sir Fuzzi1 votes

"You are bad and deserve to lose horribly anyways" is by and far the most well-constructed argument I have seen in some time.

Why didn't I just see it this way? Of course.

CerealBoxOfDoom1 votes

dunno why you didn't but its the short umbrella version explaining why some can't fathom why 1v2 top would actually be in favor of the 1 hence why nobody does this. Urf does not make this any better for the 2,

last game I jungled and went to gank bot where the 1v2 was occurring.

swain was holding a lane against Renekton and Rengar

Swain was half hp but he was level 4 and I who was playing trundle was also level 4 the other 2 were level 3.

I could have been level 5 before they ever hit level 4 but I decided to strike while they were open instead of getting scuttlebug

Next thing you know... BRAZZERS!
