Currently there are some tentative changes for the support role coming up on the PBE.
What do you think of these changes? Will they shake up the support meta or will everything stay relatively the same?
I'm not sure why Ardent Censer was 'nerfed' for those who like healing.
I like the changes to Ardent Censer (though I'd like context on them) but I don't get the buffs to the Ancient Coin line at all. They're really good items as is, it feels like they're just widening the gap between Coin and Spellthief's (which imo is the item that needs buffing).
Occasionally, I would go coin with the intent of rushing the Talisman because the combination of Mana regen, CDR, and MS is all good on a more utility based support. Of coarse it's actual gold generation is out striped by Spellthief, an even if we were to buff the utility of Talisman, people would still start spellthief, just to sell it later for talisman.
If they look at the spell thief line, I would like to see it have heavier focus on being a poke and ability scaling item. I say this mostly because it is the least likely item to be upgraded.
The ardent censor changes are huge. substituting some of the AS for on hit damage, gives the item better poke abilities, and doesn't require the team to focus on DPS. I will definitely take this item on my sona.
People keep saying that the Karma changes are going to butcher her mid lane. I disagree, but it will refocus her mid lane on her more supportive aspects. (like Lulu) And she would still make a better midlaner (probably) because of the AP scaling.
