How I feel about this game
I enjoy setting up my teammates for success. I love peeling, protecting, disrupting, buffing and baiting. If I can make a sacrifice to benefit my team, I do it without doubt, because I trust my teammates to do well. I primarily play supports and junglers with massive crowd control: Lulu, Nautilus, Nami, Leona, Maokai... But unfortunately I feel like Riot is weakening that playstyle and moving the game in a different direction.
- Some of my favorite champions became solo laners, like Lulu, Maokai and Alistar. And Riot balances them around solo lanes, leaving them weaker in their intended role. Does support Lulu really need to suffer for so long because people abuse her top?
- The jungle became a dangerous place for tank junglers, because they have trouble clearing with their low damage. Riot's solution is giving tanks a damaging aura with Cinderhulk. Do you think I pick a champion like Nautilus for his damage? This enchantment for jungle tanks is the opposite of my playstyle.
- The Season 5 changes heavily favor damage dealers. You get vision for killing things (scuttle crab, raptors). Securing dragon no longer gives everyone global gold, instead it gives more damage to the carries. The only thing I can use is the movement speed. What happened to the goal for season 4? Ensure all roles and positions can experience power-growth and progression. I miss that part of the game right now.
My relationship with Riot is like my relationship with adc's. I trust them, even though they do stupid things. I know that if I keep believing in them, they will do something amazing every once in a while. Then I smile and remember why I enjoy this game so much. Riot, please make me smile again.
