Ability Power New Items Concepts

The most important priority to this post is create customization and options, it is not to replace any current items or fulfill roles better but on an equal level for more unique personality to play styles and decision making in builds through out a game.

Golden Slug: Recipe: Blasting Wand (850g) + Blasting Wand (850g) + Blasting Wand (850g) + 950g = 3500g

Statistics: +UNIQUE Passive - Big Magic: 120 Ability Power +UNIQUE Passive: Dealing magic damage slows enemies by 5% for 2 seconds which stacks on the same enemy up to 10 times for a maximum of 50%. At 10 stacks the enemy is stunned for 2 seconds, the stacks reset to zero, and cannot receive stacks again until 10 seconds has passed.

Rabadon's Deathcap will be listed as Big Magic as well for its Ability Power so these two items will be a decision between what kind of passive you want, AP amp or CC, and make sure the items are never "I have to get both items every game because they give the most AP"

Sapphire Gem: Recipe: Sapphire Crystal (400g) + 400g = 800g

Statistics: +300 Mana +10% Cooldown Reduction

Sapphire Staff: Recipe: Needlessly Large Rod (1250g) + Sapphire Gem (800g) + Sapphire Gem (800g) + 150g = 3000g

Statistics: +80 Ability Power +700 Mana +20% Cooldown Reduction +UNIQUE Passive: Spell damage restores 15% of the damage damage as Mana (25% of the value against minions and monsters).

Rod of the Void: Recipe: Needlessly Large Rod (1250) + Fiendish Codex (820g) + 530g = 2600g

Statistics: +100 Ability Power +20% Cooldown Reduction +UNIQUE Passive: Deal 20% increased magic damage against minions and monsters while executes grant a charge of the void stacking 10 times. +UNIQUE Active: Consume all charges of the void to deal 10(+5%AP) true damage to the target enemy structure for every charge that was consumed; up to a cap of 100(+50%AP) true damage (5 seconds cooldown). [700 units range]

Salvation's Ring: Recipe: Blasting Wand (850g) + Fiendish Codex (820g) + 430g = 2100g

Statistics: +80 Ability Power +10% Cooldown Reduction +UNIQUE Passive: Increase your shields and heals by an additional 60(+15%AP) (one-third of this value for multi-target shields and heals).

Shining Staff (Ranged Only): Recipe: Needlessly Large Rod (1250g) + Aether Wisp (850g) + 900g

Statistics: +100 Ability Power +7% Movement Speed +UNIQUE Passive: Increase your spells that grant movement speed by an additional 5%(+1% per 50AP) movement speed; this effect is disabled while the active is on cooldown. +UNIQUE Active - The Sun's Glory: Grant yourself and nearby allies 40% movement speed for 3 seconds (40 seconds cooldown). [1000 units range]

Talisman of Ascension will have its active called The Sun's Glory the actives are the same; basically the item differences are different stats and one being more expensive. This is a ranged only item to try to avoid melee assassin abuse, they are already mobile they do not need to multiply it further for one can never escape them where as the immobile mages or utility mages has room to play against them since they will either only have the active for mobility or in the case of utility mages do not have the damage to run at you and one shot you (the are utility mages, low damage, high utility).

Wind Staff: Recipe: Needlessly Large Rod (1250g) + Seeker's Armguard (1200g) + 550g = 3000g

Statistics: +100 Ability Power +50 Armor +UNIQUE Passive: Your basic attacks will mark your target for up to 5 seconds, only one target may be marked at a time. +UNIQUE Active: Knock-back your marked target by 500 units (30 seconds cooldown).

Riot just wanted items to be more diverse and bought for their unique utility each item grants- so having two 3500 gold 120 AP items means you choose between CC or deathcap's ability power amplification

the stacking slow conflicts with nothing, only the more powerful slow applies - rylais would be immediate power that is always available and the Golden SLUG will builds up to a stun after awhile and then you cannot slow or stun the same enemy for the next 10 seconds so it has both ramp up time and time where you get nothing from the item - plus rylais also gives health

runeglaive gives missing mana - Sapphire Staff gives mana based on damage you deal - there is a big difference, also the mana restoring is greatly reduced against minions and monsters - it is a more active grail --- Sapphire Gem is gold inefficient- mana is the weakest stat, it is to help smooth out a build

Rod of the Void: True damage to a TARGET ENEMY STRUCTURE --- it is an objective item, it is too push waves, help kill buffs, crabs, dragons, barons etc faster, and push towers by kills multiple units like minions and monsters - you cannot use the active against champions or anything else that is not a structure

Salvation's Ring is a support item, utility mages could buy it but pretty inefficient for a solo lane utility mage - all base stats you already bought and the item is to be cheap for supports, Twin Shadows is 300 gold more, but you get movement speed too

haste is movement speed the 5%+1%per50AP additional movement speed was not the hint with a talisman active - it is a move fast item for utility mages (so like Lulu, Orianna, Zilean, Karma, etc.) the item is to give utility mages a supportive item with either roaming the map by buffing their haste spell (movement speed spells), giving movement speed to allies for either keeping them save or play making like an AP talisman but even more catered to utility mages, talisman will not be forgotten as it is cheaper and directly builds from a gold item for supports --- but i dont want the item for ap mobile assassins as that would lower their counterplay and assassins are already not fun to go against (even though actives technically cannot be melee/ranged only, melee mobile assassins with speed buffs on their spells cannot get a stronger speed buff)

Wind Staff is an Hourglass alternative, identical cost and stats, the difference is the actives - you want invincibility? or you want self peel against one target jumping you, be good for immobile and kiting ranged mages, melee would never want this item since it pushing targets away from you out of your melee range so they would just buy hourglass as a melee ap champion

tl:dr : all items should be balanced compared to gold cost and stats and based on competing items - Golden Slug is the only really weird item since it is the only item with a stun so it ends up becoming a "deathcap tier item" with gold and AP - and one chooses between wanting CC or damage with AP amp
