Can Shyvana get an actual good buff already

I've posted about this many times already and will to post a hundred more but I really just want a good buff to Shyvana. She's not terrible right now, she's decent at the very least, but in the end I always feel like their are better champions to pick over her. And that thought constantly hurts me because I basically main her. Her last buffs haven't been that great. All she's gotten was a stupid AP ratio on her W to compensate for Guinsoo's (which pretty much failed) and she now gets her ult slightly faster. Yay i guess? I know probably Riot will update her in the Fighter rework after the assassin rework, so we can hopefully expect her to gain some actual good CC pre 6, but at the same time I still feel like she could just use something. That something is making her ult unstoppable.

This has bugged me for the longest time. You are turning into a god damn dragon right into the enemy! You shouldn't be easily knocked back by a stupid Alistar headbutt! As well her ult is one of the few good ults for dive initiations, like Hecarim's or Malphite's to come to mind. But even then those ults are unstoppable. Hell, while your at it why not fix the stupid hit box on her ult as well. Most of the time I just feel like I completely fly over people or I don't drag them far enough. I don't care if you have to nerf her range a tiny bit or even the damage on it. If you can't give her this buff then at the very least allow her to gain some tenacity or extra bonus health while in dragon form. Just....please give her something to make me feel like picking her again.

I play Shyv a lot...I'd like to see one of two changes as buffs:

  1. Increase the MR & Armor ratios in dragon form. She should super scary for the time that she's in dragon form instead of just "well, let me walk around or flash through Shyv so I don't take AOE damage from her W". Right now it's too easy to outrun her in dragon form (as a result, I always take blue smite and exhaust, have movement speed quints, and build boots....still easy to outrun while she's a dragon), and because outrun is an option, easy to kite her with ANY ranged champ. Her defense ratios should make that kiting WAY more difficult if for no other reason than she can withstand the dmg as long as she's built some MR or Armor
  2. AA while in dragon form extend dragon form 50% longer than they do today. Shyv can ult and lose her ult very quickly, even when AA'ing minions/neutral monsters at early levels. Unless you're building straight attack speed, it's very difficult to keep dragon form through an entire Dragon or Rift Herald. And in teamfights, if you get CC'd while ulting, chances are your ult goes away because of the CC. Only a handful of champs in the game can say the same thing (a few that come to mind are Shaco, Renekton, and Nasus...all of whom have ults that continue to do AOE dmg even if CC'd, which Shyvana's doesn't).

Anyhow, I agree - Shyv is good in the right hands (like my own), but a small bump of a buff could make her downright dangerous again, which is where she rightfully should be. She's a f***ing dragon for the love of God....people should be scared.

What if we increased the amount of fury generated on auto attacks based on your increase in AD? Every 1 point in AD increases it by 1%, same as how every 1% increase in attack speed increases how fast you gain fury by 1%.

I have posted the same thing quite a bit and a Rioter informed me that they are currently not looking on doing any changes for her. I feel like BOTRK being in a bad spot has hurt her more than anything.

I don't want to say that's not true, which is kinda true when you think about it because Shyv does need that item in certain builds, but the main issue I'm trying to point out with her is that I just don't feel like Riot has given anything actually good about her lately. Only these weird band aid patches to keep her and pretty much a large majority of certain champions relevant. Meanwhile, Riot is still nerfing champions that were already in a good spot to begin with and almost never heavily nerfing champions that really need to be heavily nerfed. At this point I'm severely judging Riot's logic on who needs to be buffed or nerfed and how big those are going to be. But back on topic there really isn't a whole lot of reason to pick her if your looking for early ganks because lets face it if you're not on the lower left side when in a match and starting red you almost have no other ganking presence. At the same time her ult is just very buggy in terms of hit box, how far you drag the enemy and overall is just annoying when your diving the enemy team to initiate a teamfight only to then be knocked back or locked down mid flight all because your not unstoppable.

My thoughts are that twin bite is useless after the nerf that came during Devourer's time period. It does almost no damage and is really there for an extra auto to help with on-hit builds. Since Guinsoos is no good and Devourer is gone, the only thing that helps with on-hit is BOTRK and goofy wit's end. That's why I am saying that there needs to be one good on-hit item that can help her. You could argue bloodrazor but that item really stinks by itself and offers no AD. You are right that the other changes were negligible at best. Riot simply doesn't care enough to balance out champions that recently had a pretty good run.

I heavily agree with you on a lot of this. Her twin bit is just there for an extra auto and on-hit builds, but I wouldn't say it does no damage. At max it does another 100% of your damage. Not a lot of other champions can do that in one attack. I will say though that I feel Riot has tremendously fucked up with a lot with Shyv. First they did nerf Devourer, then her Q, the flat out removed devourer and never really tried to revert some of the changes to her Q nerf. Seriously, why does Riot just seem to Sejuani other champions? If you make nerfs to someone because of an item, then nerf or in this case remove that item wouldn't make sense to reverse the nerfs back a little bit. Maybe not fully but to a middle ground at least.

Guinsoos was just a complete fail, which now leads to AP Shyv with her AP on W now, and if I do remember correctly BOTRK did get nerfed quite a while back so it isn't as strong on her as before. However you do somewhat have to admit that Bloodrazor is somewhat better then some of the other options. All you really have left is warrior, runic echoes, and then cinderhulk which is the only other viable upgrade to her, but even then you miss out on a lot of attack speed unless you DO build BOTRK or better yet Tri Force, because while Cinder+Titanic does go hand in hand your attacking rather slow.

With all of that said, I agree with you that Riot just doesn't really care for chmpions that only had a good run for a season or part of one. And that is what I feel is the most infuriating part that I have with them right now. There attempts to keep devourer junglers, hell a large majority of champions in general, relevant or somewhat fun/playable has just failed heavily. They always seem to keep the game focused on the LCS and what champions are most popular there. And as of late they're purposely gutting Rek'Sai and Shen just to add some "diversity" when reality is these players aren't going to immediately change a champion they've been practicing probably all year with just because Riot starts adding in heavily nerfs weeks before and during the Worlds.
