Why is Brand allowed to go support and out damage the enemy team's 20 kill Azir?
His damage is absolutely absurd, he needs to be nerfed into trash tier immediately.

People not respecting the support is the problem, not the champion. You can pick any high damage mage and play it as a Support without strictly support items or giving your ADC all the kills, and if they don't treat you like the mid laner you're acting like then they'll regret it.
You need to understand that the concept of roles and positions is something that the players and community created. Any champion can jump into a match and run support. Support is in no way limited to healing and shields. Brand's passive and ability to poke behind minions allow him to keep a constant offensive presence and pressure on the enemy team. You could lock into support as Ziggs and build mana regen and just spam your Q until the enemy is zoned from your ADC. You could go support and lock into Heimer and freeze the lane while creating a safe zone for your ADC and you to retreat into. You could lock into Support as a Caitlyn and use your range for constant auto attack harrass. These wins don't mean anything in terms of him needing a nerf. He's a low mobility mage that can get shut down just like any other champion.
Yeah this is pretty normal. There are a few other support champions than can do this. :)
Brand always gets most damage done because his passive really adds up over the course of the entire game, especially if the enemy team has a lot of HP stacking champions.
