Rengar the Spayed kitty
so....Riot you don't have the best track record when it comes to Stealth champions and balance. you either make them horrible nightmares to fight (rengar) or a joke like Eve was for so long, and still kind of is. most of the stealth champs right now have around the 50% win rate right now, but that's not the point, it's kind of like how Veigar is not OP at all but being burst down with little to no counterplay is just toxic gameplay. SO! with that in mind let's neuter us a kitty with some kit changes
Passive: Unseen Predator
- it's an interesting and unique mechanic, but it's free zone control in top lane for pretty much no punishment and not a whole lot of skill involved, so lets introduce us some counter play in that he can't jump from a brush that a nearby enemy champion has vision of.
Q: Savagery
- this is some Oppressive damage, like Early Game riven levels of Oppressiveness, but he's still an Assassin so....nerf the base damage and buff the ratio? this needs some math tweaking for sure though, Assassins in general have that trademark burst though so....PASS
W: Battle Roar
- here is another problem, you can't give a champion with no mana, and has no HP costs like mundo or vlad a way to get health back this powerful, leads to problems. so....NERFS! the first thing, to make it so Rengar does not need this for sustain in the jungle, make it give bonus MR/Armor against neutral minions. and nerf the AP ratio, because I've been hurt in the past and it's an AOE skill with 80% AP ratio why does he need this.
E: Bola Strike -Skill shot slow, with a snare if you have 5 kitty points. this one is actually pretty well balanced, the slow and snare are not too bad, and affected by tenacity so...yay! good job rito.
R: Thrill of the Hunt
- Dear god why. there is counter play to this, kind of. if you're an ADC hope to RNjesus that your team collapses on you and defends you, or that there was sufficient vision on the map to know the booty touch was on its way in a spooky fury package. this combined with the Oppressive damage of his Q, allows most ADCs exactly 2 seconds to participate in most team fights. maybe with the aforementioned Q balance maybe this move won't be an ADC's last moment on god/rito's green earth.
