Up in CS, up in kills, less deaths, and he has 1 more assist than me.

How is he 3 levels above me. And how is it that in lane i can have more cs but the other person hits level two first.

Well for starters, you're an adc. Meaning you share your exp with someone else.

i think it is amazing that no one else came up with this explanation.

Maybe because there are more bot Vlads right now then anywhere else.

the point is not if vlad is playing bot lane, the point is its a xayah with flash and heal playing bot lane, that should be the first explanation to come to anyone s mind.

And? When both are bot, both are sharing exp?

you know that Vladimir bot lane split pushes very often and if he did not, do you rly think that the players commenting here are thinking about vlad bot lane

You must've spent a lot of time doing a whole lot of nothing.

He got lvl2 first because you were out of range when some minions died. So you didn't get the exp. You dont need to kill a minion to receive the exp, just need to be in range. The level advantage can be for that reason or

because he "farmed" a lot more but since his last hitting may be bad, you can't see it.

Honestly Riot just needs to rework the in-game experience system. It doesn't work properly, and at times you will find someone below 5 levels which shouldn't happen, even if behind.

If I had to guess though, he might have a higher vision score, did you knew that Killing wards grants experience? But tbh even then he couldn't of just gotten that ahead by this.

He killed jungle creeps which are worth more xp or he was around minions as they died which still grants xp, just not gold. It's why zoning exist, to push your opponent away from the minions and deny them levela and gold.

xp is not based on CS. it's not based on kills.

XP is based on time and distance.

as in how much time have you spent at a certain distance.

so i'll list all the things that grant xp :

caster minion death cannon minion death Lwolf Swolf Lkrug Mkrug Skrug Lterrorbeak Sterrorbeak Skuttle Herald Drake Golem Gromp Brambleback Baron Dragon Champion kill Champion assist inhibitor Tower kill inhibitor Tower assist inhibitor kill inhibitor assist ward kill ward assist gadget kill gadget assist mordekaiser ability zilean ability

so depending on who you've killed, who helped you kill it, and what you were doing in between that time vs what your opponent was doing, that could be what determines the difference.

the only way to have adequate information about what happened in your game is to provide a video of the entire game from point a to point b. oh and you'd have to do it for both players.

I think he was roaming alot = more exp from dead minions in other lanes.

youre an adc. so riot hates your class in general.

also getting a kill is super weird. according to lolwiki killing someone gives you exp equal to "10% of the exp the KILLED target needs to level up" so if all your kills were like 1 minion away from a lv up, they are worth 0 exp. (again great system riot).

Its 50% of the difference between the enemy champs current level and next level. So if the enemy champ is level 15 and to reach 16 they need 1000 xp their killer will get 500 xp, +/- 7% based on the level difference between the champs.
