Nocturne's ultimate really needs to be given more counterplay in team fights.

The lack of counterplay used to be 'acceptable' because Nocturne wasn't particularly strong against aggressive early jungles, but with this season's changes, that weakness is no longer relevant.

If I'm playing a caster or ADC, his ultimate completely removes me from the fight for its entire duration. I can't do anything but retreat, else a bruiser or assassin will run me down, and I won't have vision to disengage/CC it before it's too late.

If I'm anywhere near brush, I'm completely fucked, because attempting to kite out of the brush will make me lose vision, and I can't see someone coming up on me at any brush I'm not standing in. Especially with Ocean rift, this makes contesting objectives impossible.

The overall average win rate doesn't reflect how broken he is yet, because a large number of people are trying him out with the new Sanguine Blade. If you dig in and look at people who mained Nocturne last season, you'll see that they've jumped from 51-53% win rate to 62-65% win rate in the pre-season.

Either tone down the duration or provide a way to counter the vision removal. As it stands, he doesn't even need to do anything; just pressing R is enough to allow his team to win any team fight in any non-turret defense scenario.

Heres a tip: Step into a bush lmfao.

Thats all it takes to counter his ult,it was the same with Fiora's old ult.

What are you talking about? His team can still see you in the brush. Stepping into brush does nothing, and if you get chased out of the brush, you're pretty screwed because now you don't have vision of whoever chased you in.

Likewise, if you're chasing someone, they can step into brush and you have to take a huge risk and hope you're not face checking an assassin, or let them go and retreat (again, possibly into an assassin).

Unless you have problems with reading comprehension and are somehow trying to imply that the gap closer on his ult is the problem, which it isn't. It's the complete denial of vision during a team fight, particularly around objectives.

I've always felt his Ult is completely unbalanced. I think if he were to have to select a location around the enemy, it would be more balanced instead of selecting THE enemy and auto locking to them. Like fuck, not even flash helps.

Nocturne's ult takes priority over Twisted Fate's. You don't gain vision during it.

Nocturne is not the problem. The problem is Sanguine Blade, which he can currently abuse. Now, he’s somewhat a viable mid and top laner. He’s only seeing more play because of it.

The counterplay to his ult that I see no one using. Just ping where you are at.

Remove or rework sanguine blade. Considering Riot will do something (hopefully), to SB, he doesnt need any changes.

He was viable mid and top before sanguine blade, btw.

His pick rate spiked before Sanguine Blade even existed as well.

The issue with the vision on his ult is not "not knowing where your team mates are" its "not being able to see the deathball you're walking into", since so many champions have an effective kill range beyond what his ult allows you to see, unlike when he was initially designed and balanced according to.

You can't see pings during his ult. Which is also irrelevant, because the issue is champions other than Nocturne flanking or getting in range to one shot you before you can see them.

For example, if you're contesting the 4th Dragon and Nocturne ults, Syndra can stun and kill you without even entering your vision. Your only option is to gtfo and concede the dragon.

But i forgot this 2019 LoL where its acceptable for everything to oneshot me with 0 counterplay because i like playing champions like Varus.

You can build armor. Zhonyas or GA. You can just clump with your team. If your team comp isn't good for nocturne, then it's not a problem with nocturne being op. If Noct is fed then it's a problem with your team getting caught out. You can do a lot of things to stop nocturne, you just don't play around him like you probably should if he's 1 shotting you.
