This Community Is Very Funny In Their Ways

Okay so people complain about Veigar's stun getting a short delay and want the instant stun back [which is not happening, far to unhealthy for the game, they still need to fix Annie], but for Ekko who has a whopping 3 seconds delay on a longer cooldown than Event Horizon apparently makes Ekko the most OP thing ever. Whether Ekko gets nerfed in the future is a different matter, but the irony here is just unreal hilarious...

Veigar has no dash, no other CC, has to farm to get his burst, and has another move that basically required people to be stunned for hit, he was balanced around the ability, much like how Vayne gets away with max HP based true damage.

Ekko Has other forms of mobility, other forms of CC, the move gives hell of a lot more than veigars cage (a slow at worst, no safe middle point, and a huge ass shield), and his kit is pretty good even without W or assuming he never gets the stun off.

See also: Veigar had like a 38% win rate when the change first hit and the delay was 1.25 seconds instead of .75. I don't know what Ekko's is, but judging by how stompy people (myself somewhat included) seem to have found him, I'd bet it's a lot better than 38%. It's actually REALLY easy to see why people don't find the two comparable.

Support Veigar is better than mid

Veigar's trap is either 3 seconds of an AoE root or 1.5-2.5 seconds of an AoE stun The delay was 0.75 second, it got lowered to 0.5 but the indicator is still 0.75 because it is attached to his cast time now

Veigar is ranged, Ekko is melee

Stop looking at win rates, do not forget Urgot's "35% winrate" then people finally played him and he has over 50% without any changes, people just played him instead of trolling with him; win rates are horrible balancing stand points

The mana ratio on the shield that grants the same shield value with the same items that he builds normally; massive buff right there yo....

Seriously though, Urgot got played because people played him, this community is too opinion orientated instead of just fking playing the game and discovering anyone works people rather troll and flame people when they play what they want to play instead of blinding following like blind sheep

The shield was like 360 base, with manamune now it gives like 400 for late game; but gaining some shield obvious reason to why he is played and is so dominant and not the fact that he could have always done this and Riot making any change at all just tells people that Urgot is still in the game or anything; and the extent of any change was totally going to be the underlying factor to him getting play alright

The point to the post was that people whine and complain too much without thinking rationally at all

Hey, just as long as there is something to complain about and blame on losing other than themselves right?

The thing about any online community/forums is that they tend to have tunneled vision, especially with new stuff.

Joe Schmoe sees John Doe post about Zed, and it reminds him about the crappy match he just had against a fed Zed, so he upvotes it and makes a post of his own. Then John Smith reads that Zed is op with 100 upvotes so he decides to go play Zed, creating a confirmation bias for the 100 people who upvoted that thread because they're generating false popularity. That's one way that people tunnel vision.

The other way is PBE changes or patches. People see changes and they spend a lot of time thinking about it, what they might have done differently, or they remember their own experiences and extrapolate (which is often wrong). In the meantime people forget about the other champions who may exhibit the same problems they're talking about, or they may forget that pick-ban phase is a thing and you can and should avoid these impossible matchups that they're theorycrafting, and that metas change and that soloqueue has an entirely different meta from the LCS.
