Is it me, or does anyone think the mastery nerfs also hit a lot of AP Mids?

Lethality buiids are still a thing in game, and even though the changes were meant to make the game less snowbally, it feels like the game has slowed down wayyy too much.

Shouldn't there be some form of compensation to some mages to help their laning phase a bit?

TL;DR - Mastery nerfs to lethality champions also indirectly hit lots of AP Mages.

The mastery nerfs were meant to reduce the damage dealt by everybody.

Mages were not an exception.

That was the whole purpose of the mastery nerfs. The "deal X % more damage" nerfs weren't designed to nerf just Lethality champions, but damage overall. The game as a whole was way too snowbally, and in reality, it was the buffs to these masteries during the preseason that made the game as fast and snowbally as it was, and everyone was dealing a lot more damage than they were supposed to. Honestly, I think that potentially the nerfs were meant to hit tanks more than anyone else. Most tanks deal % of the target's max health or % of their own max health to enemies in their kits, and that was getting amplified by these perks, which was just a bit too much.
