Strongest level 1-2 in the game?

Eedat··6 votes·5,242 views

Just kind of curious who people think have the strongest level 1-2 in the game. Personally I'm terrified of Olaf's level 1-2 all in. Trynd's is pretty strong too. Riven maybe?

Thoughts?

If Xayah and Rakan both take W level one ... goodbye botlane.

And there are a bunch of others with good level one damage or level 2 spikes.

Top: Trundle or Volibear Trundle just stat checks people out of existence. He steals a ton of the AD they're gonna have at such a low level and then a good bit of stats from his W, although the Q is the main reason why. Volibear, on the other hand... is basically the same thing. Dueling a Volibear at Level 2 just isn't going to end well if his Passive is up and, hey, congratulations to you if you can proc Voli's passive before Level 2.

Mid: Talon or Karma Talon's Level 2 QW-Passive-Ignite combo is an instant kill against almost any squishy or even decently durable champion that isn't running Barrier, Heal, or a defensive steroid in their kit. It's pretty simple. On the other hand, Karma just outtrades everyone at Level 2 with either an empowered Q and a W, empowered W and a Q, or even just an empowered Q/W and an E. She just gets a ton of good damage early on thanks to the nature of her "ultimate".

ADC: Draven No one can compete with Draven in damage from Levels 1-2. His Spinning Axes just bring too much to trades that early on for any other ADC to compete with him unless maybe you're a Cait who is VERY lucky with how dumb the enemy is when stepping on traps. Kog'Maw can also have some strangely good trades early, but Draven still comes out on top usually.

Support: Blitzcrank or Leona What's the similarity here? Lot's of positioning punishment by instantly jumping on an enemy once they move even an inch too much in one direction. Blitz and Leona put a lot of pressure on the enemy duo since most of the time if they can land their combos on you, you're dead, especially if their partner is someone like Draven to capitalize on it.

Jungle: LeeSin or Warwick It's almost impossible to outtrade a Warwick or Lee Sin early on. You have to pull off some pretty funny looking shenanigans to even come close to dealing more damage than Lee Sin or out-DPSing Warwick's sustain. There's a reason Warwick is spouting such a high win rate as of late and that Lee Sin used to be called (and still is by quite a few) the best early game champion in the entire game.

talon used to a be up there in lvl 2 strength but idk if that is still true

nm10102 votes

I don't think anyone can beat Talon's level 2 burst

270 + 410% bonus ad without any runes/summoners/the auto that procs passive factored in is a lot of fucking damage at level 2.

Penta Ace2 votes

Yeah i think statistically he was most likely to get first blood in the games he was in, it's possible that still holds true I just don't see him much so im not sure lol

At level 2 with presence of mind upon leveling, Taric's damage is

520 + 1215% ad + 240% bonus armor + 110% AP + 3% max life

He also heals for about 150 during that time.

Doing the actual math with his stats if he starts cloth armor and uses 4 empowered auto attacks with aftershock active:

520 + 12.15 x 57.5 + .15 x 8 x 21 + .15 x 4 x 98 + 1.1 x 0 + .03 x 705 = 1324 damage

This damage is over about 8 seconds though so most people flash away before you can kill them after they realize how much damage you do.

If he does not start cloth armor (I don't) it is instead:

520 + 12.15 x 57.5 + .15 x 8 x 5 + .15 x 4 x 82 + 1.1 x 0 + .03 x 705 = 1295 damage

I definitely agree with the Pantheon , can't tell you the amount of times I've gotten my W lvl 2 and then gotten first blood.

It depends on what you are talking about. If you mean a straight out fight to the death I place my bets on Taric (No, not favoritism) He has the strongest level 1-2 all in hands down.

I have taken down level 2 Olafs as a level 1 Taric simply because his Q spam with enhanced autos is that strong. Level 2 (and 3/4 to a lesser extent for W and rank 2 Q) just makes it worse.

The only thing I might be cautious about all in fighting as Taric level 1-2 is Aatrox, and that is only if he has 4/5 charges on his Blood Well since the AS buff on that is scary with his W.

The issue with Taric is that he doesn't have great chase ability early, which is why IBG is core on Taric top for both the slow and more frequent stuns.

100% total AS buff with 25 bonus damage on each auto attack for as long as he has mana is scary AF. The fact that he gets 35 Hp back every 2 autos is really strong early too. Rank 2 Q turns that into 70~ Hp and his stun is a 1.25 second stun that does 100 damage, resets his auto timer, and has an effective 6~ second CD with his passive always proccing at rank 1.

AlienPrimate1 votes

Was going to say the same. I've been playing him a lot lately and getting first blood or forcing flash at level 2 in almost every single game. You know it is saying something when you can kill Darius at level 2 then kill him again at level 3 when he teleports back and still be at full hp for when the jungler wants to come.

Xin probably has the strongest level 2 in the game

A close 2nd is Tiger Udyr or Riven

Eedat4 votes

Meh tiger Udyr is only strong if you let him double dot you. It you know how he works then it's not bad at all

yZfYArlene1 votes

If he takes Bear second you are getting clapped level 2

Eedat1 votes

Not really. Level 1-2 Udyr cheese revolves around his double dot. I'll explain. So after activating tiger stance, your next auto applies a DoT. Every fourth auto while not changing stances reapplies the DoT. So the double DoT cheese is when you activate tiger and auto some minions until you have a tiger DoT ready. Then you auto the enemy champion, immediately reactivate tiger, and apply a second DoT on the second auto. They actually stack. If you have a DoT ready and switch to bear, you lose the initial proc. That's why the only way Udyr gets a double DoT is if you literally let him walk up to you with it. This actually works for all of Udyr's stances except Bear.

yZfYArlene1 votes

Alright cocky ass, I have 300 Udyr games this season in Plat. I know how he works.

Nobody besides Xin can Fight Tiger Udyr level 2. Double Dot or not

BALDG1VEN BOOMER1 votes

Xayah and Rakan they're way too powerful level one cheese.

Level two I'd give it to Kha'Zix in isolation.

Concerning top lane...

Olaf or Volibear have the strongest level 1s. Olaf's passive that makes him deal more damage as his health drops and his Q when properly juggled is just more damage than other champs can put out. Volibear with a W start has an attack speed steroid, a nuke that scales with Voli's health and is an execute, and has a miniature Mundo ultimate for a passive that makes outlasting him pretty much impossible.

The strongest level 2 probably goes to Tryndamere IMO.

Schenix1 votes

Level 2 spike, e.g. J4 gets a huge one but his 1 is subpar. Level 1 would be like Bard or Draven.

1 AND 2 is gauged differently -- something like: Brand or Talon.

Kaioko1 votes

Kled I would argue he has one of the strongest if not overall the strongest level 2 in the game. Not saying the champ is OP whatsoever just answering the question.

Katarina easy

Prometheus5961 votes

Pantheon used to have an EXTREMLY strong level two with his Q W and Ignite. However that was before the nerfs to aery. I do still think that his lvl 2s are very good its just after that that he falls off thanks to the nerfs. Syndra has a very good level 2 with her Q E stun. Although its a bit worse than Pantheon , I still think that its a very good lvl 2

Darius Aatrox I know this looks troll but Aatrox has one of the best lv2 in the game with his e and w, after that it’s all down hill.
