Can we please bring back mana pots?

I do not want to invest 500 gold for on-demand mana that I will only use twice at most.

Although i didnt agree with it at first, i believe now that it was a smart choice. it makes people play smart instead of fast casting everything just cause they can. Although you are right, those new pots are useless... Solutions: Learn to manage your mana better, that way you are prepared for ganks with at least 50% mana to survive (Even if they wasted your flash) buy a Dorans ring, and learn to CS better, that way youre also learning how to get gold faster and effectively while making smart decisions on what you should do next.

So what you're saying is just get completely pushed into your tower and miss cs and let the enemy mid laner roam because they picked a resource less champ?

You wont miss cs if you play smart, and if they roam, PING hes missing, and use the oportunity to push the lane again and to keep farming (hes wasting XP and gold just walking to another lane) Since most league players care more about kills than saving their tower, while hes trying to kill your bot lane, youre farming and taking his tower for your team. And if you PING and they dont listen to the ping, then its their fault, not yours.

I hear it is incredibly easy to CS under your turret while dodging cleavers, boomerangs, shurikens, tornados, etc and not miss any CS. Oh wait.... no it basically means until you get a mana item you are fked in some matchups. Then your team has to play around that, which puts them at a disadvantage in their lanes that they could have been winning. Don't tell me it isn't a huge deal, because it is. Just like the melee vs ranged lane matchups are a huge deal. Whether that is considered problematic is a balance opinion.

Yup. And it really sucks considering in those matchups that you're fucked until you get a mana item, you also are forced to rush Zhonyas.

Sapphire Crystal's price was reduced by 50G and it's mana was buffed by 50. This makes it a decent starting item for champions planning to rush Tear of the Goddess, Sheen, Rod of Ages, or Glacial Shroud who need the mana early.

Doran's Rings have had their mana regen buffed to scale with your base regen. At level 1, they are the same or better for pretty much every champion and they only improve from there.

Most champions who frequently purchased mana potions had their base mana and/or mana regen increased.

Quite frankly, I believe that we are better without them.

Sadly Riot's big meta changes rarely get reversed, this has always been the case and they put work into lowering mana and changing mana regen so you'll have to wait for Season 7 to get mana pots back or... mana recharge stations whatever Riot think of next.

I know that they buffed mana regen for some champions, but it feels like the potions are just so weak and not worth the investment.

I agree that they need to come back, or further buffs need to be made to certain champs in order to make them playable early. Galio mid (one of my favorite champions) had a hard enough time with mana early game as is with pots. Because he is melee and had little mana, farming early even with a dorans ring can be tricky against most to all other mid laners who have a range auto attack as well as better mana stats. With the change to mana pots, Galio is now all but useless until late game unless he gets a ridiculous amount of help early. I think the solution should be buff champions who are having issues, and Galio has needed a buff for a long time
