For a very, very long time people complained "Riot, how about instead of nerfing things, we just buff other things?". The board was filled with these threads. Believe it or not, Riot listens.

At the time the game was smaller and itemization wasnt 90% of a champions value. Riots favoritism also wasnt as visible as it is now. Its not actually possible to bring everyone up to the same level, as each class utilizes items in dramatically different ways. Because AD/AP/damage scaling stats are SO HIGH the only answer is to bring them down unfortunately. Bringing the low-strength ones up will result in a worse game experience.

I actually loved morello's philosophy and never once had a problem with anything he did even when he nerfed who I played, I always understood why he did things because he was always transparent about why he did things. I haven't understood anything ghostcancer's team has done in a couple of years, every one of their choices have been terrible especially the alpha client and runesreforged.

That is why I respect CertainlyT more than GC

TRANSPARENCY

The balance team right now are not open with the fan base and it feels more and more like WoW's boards of people being forced to bitch and complain while the devs sometimes pop in and nothing is done. But most importantly, All of this feels like the mark of GC.

*High damage

*Pandering to the best players but ruining even their experience of the game.

*Telling people about things do not answer the question at hand but instead overplaying the complexities of the game to seem more intelligent.

*Blatant ignorance of legitimate player outcry.

*Stubbornly defending his vision of the game and not caring about the the health of it.

What I find annoying is that no one has put on paper what he has don't wrong. CT has made fucked up but at least he got his fans. GC is more shady.

Yup and it was way better. Id rather champs in the gutter than pick ban unstoppable monsters. A champ being trash and slowly being brought up to speed is 10000x better than it being disgustingly busted and slowly tuned down which is what riot does now with everything.

I seriously like when Irelia was nerfed, why? She wasn't even played back in season 5-6. Nobody would pick her and she was my main! I could play her every day and just win games and get into divisions. Good old times... But now those who balance games are chilling and not even playing the game at all..

If by rather poorly, you mean one of the worst champs in the game, then yes.

A lot of people on the boards are parrots. But they aren't even good at that, their complaints are often months behind what is current.

I love how the boards just always circlejerk something. ''TANKS ARE DED CUZ CONQ XD'' when tanks were played quite frequently even after 8.6.
