I'm curious behind the reasoning of the Urgot nerfs currently on the PBE.

slow lowered from 45/50/55/60/65% to 20/25/30/35/40%

I'm just curious, are these nerfs related to the increase in win rate observed from the latest round of buffs? If the answer to that question is yes, then I would assume either the decrease in the detonation time of his Q has pushed him over the edge or rather the increase of his ultimate projectile speed. If he was "bad" or "weak" with the .85 second det speed and hes too strong with the 0.5 second det speed wouldn't it be more logical to just increase the detonation time to like .7 or something like that instead of going after his slow?

Design is a little more complex than that though.

Ability timing, for example, isn't just balance -- it's also gameplay feel. If .85 feels clunky and .5 feels nice and smooth, that doesn't mean the best balancing change is to average the two and lean back into clunkiness.

Targeting his slow, on the other hand, reduces the amount he can use that more responsive, more reliable Q to bully opponents with all his legs. This sort of adjustment keeps his abilities feeling responsive while lowering his overall oppressive dueling.

Personally, I didn't find his Q clunky at all when it was slow. It was a skill shot, it felt like cass or karthus Q. Now its braindead easy to hit. An ability that practically guarantees you a good trade shouldn't be easy to hit. It will feel a lot worse when the slow is useless a 40% slow isn't that good.

And that's why its a PBE change. Test the impact, see how it goes, let the community experiment a bit. Roll it back if needed. :)

Well in that case I do hope it doesn't go through, I don't need urgot to be op but I want him to be playable haha.

Even with this change he will be definitely playable. A 40% slow is still enough for him to get into range to deal a lot of damage. I wouldn't worry unduly until you get your hands in it and can see for yourself.
