I like Mundo seeing some attention on the PBE...

... but this is nothing more than a quick fix for he is really in need of a rework.

The thing is you wouldn't even have to go as far as pull a Sion-level-re-release on him - nono, in terms of lore and background the good doctor has enough material that can make for a truly unique and interesting kit - and all that while preserving the charm the big guy has right now (even tho some of it seems more like throwing him out as some kind of stupid mascot to laugh about...)

Mundo has pretty much a simple list of things going for him:

1.) Dat Cleaver 2.) Genius Doctor, neurobiologist and pioneer in biological augmentation 3.) That whole Dr. Jekyll and Mr.Hyde thing. I'd rather see that theme used as a basis instead of the typical Bruce Banner/Hulk thing...

The problem? Right now we only have really translated point one into gameplay. The rest of his kit are pretty much are stat modificators or that weird fire skill that doesn't really make no sense at all.

But it's sad because he could be so, so, so much more than he is right now. As you might have guessed I'm willing to push Mundo into the "transforming champ" corner, but for him there is a way to make his transformation unique, especially compared to Gnar's.

Let's say you have four basic abilities and some kind of passive bar. For every 25% of the passive bar that fills up, one ability in your kit is replaced by another. So Dr. Mundo turns slowly into MUNDO! over the slow increase of the bar. Pretty much a sustained transformation, something that does in no way exist in league yet and would be truly unique.

"Small Mundo" and "Big Mundo" should be pretty opposite ends of a spectrum that the player operates in. Small Mundo drags the cleaver along and uses it as a shield but can barely swing mit (maybe alternative basic attack), while big Mundo swings that thing like a toothpick, but loses several other abilites for that.

For the cleaver there is one thing that always bothered me. Mundo throws a cleaver. It vanishes into thin air and another cleaver appears back in Mundo's hand. Sure "Video Game Logic" might explain that, but that doesn't change the fact it's still kind of awkward. But we want to keep throwing cleavers. So what we are gonna do? Simply add a chain to that big ass thing. Throw it, pull it back in, throw again. Or throw it, bury it deep into someone's flesh and THEN pull it back to rip out a nice chunk and maybe drag them a little closer to you.

Passive: Biological augmentation: Mundo builds up passive stacks that affect his abilities as well as his stats. AD and HP and HPreg increase with every stack. Stacks build up by recieving or dealing damage or using abilities other than Doctor's craft, which reduces stacks on self-cast.

Q: Doctor's Craft Channel to patch up yourself, an ally or a minion to restore health. Minions react differently to chemicals by becoming super buff and extremly agressive. Casting this on a minion triggers quote like "Mundo starting experiment now" or "Mundo did not expect that to happen"

After reaching 25% of the passive bar Mundo has too much adrenaline in his system to operate such complex operations and this skill is replaced by "Cleaver Swing", which strikes enemies in front of Mundo after a short windup.

W: Cleaver Barrier: Uses the cleaver as a shield to block some damage coming from a certain direction. While this does break projectiles it is way smaller than braum's shield and more used to protect oneself than others.

After reaching 50% stacks Mundo has enough strenght to throw his cleaver, replacing this spell by "Cleaver Throw": Mundo throws the cleaver, dealing damage and slows the enemy it strikes. After hitting an enemy this skill can be reactivated to pull back the cleaver and slightly pushing the traget closer to you. After missing a shot the cleaver has first to be pulled back to be used again.

E: Aggression Pheromone

Mundo throws a bottle at a target location that breaks upon impact. Enemies struck will be taunted by the nearest target they can find for X seconds.

After 75% of the passive bar this skill turns into "Agressive Doping", causing Mundo to chug the whole thing instead of throwing it. It increases AD for a few seconds and enemies around Mundo are taunted to attack him caused by his simple presence (and the pheromones he developed)

R: Overdose: Mundo channels to forcefully increase his passive bar. At >90% stacks this ability is replaced by "MUNDO SMASH!":

Mundo dashes in a straigh line, trying to grab an enemy. After catching one he smashes them around repedeatly, causing massive damage (Just look at Loki vs Hulk in the firts avengers movie then you get what I mean...)

Now, that's just one possible thing that might work and this is by far not a completed concept, but just an example to how I can see a kit like that work. Like this he would be a bit more of a "juggernaut", but maybe that's what his niche is supposed to be as he is super tanky but lacks the hard cc of fulltanks and has instead mostly damage to offer in addition to his tankyness.

He's not really a defensive tank that peels enemies of your squishy friends. He's instead that monstrous thing coming for your backline AND NOTHING CAN STOP HIM (at least that's the fantasy behind the current ultimate.)

So what do you think? Or what else could work in this "Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde" kit? Or is that something that would totally not fit mundo? I'm open for a discussion ^^

No. I like my health fighter thank you very much and I think his kit work well for his theme.

He is a mad doctor that trying to make a super soldier (they use the words "perfect science-enhanced killer" but that is more or lest what a super soldier is.)Going so far as use him self a lab rat. That why three of his abilities are nothing more then drugs that he shot him self with(pass, E and R). Winch is how you will likely make a supper soldier in real live sadly(putting a lot of steroid in them and hope it does not kill him or her)

Well he would be still a tanky fighter focussing on HP and AD. Not much change there, apart from some timeframes when he is not so tanky and an increased variation of cleaver-combat-moves.

Also... the Q I mentioned. Buffing up minions... is that not super-soldier enough for you? Oh hey a minion... LET'S GET SOME STEROIDS IN THERE! (It's more a gimmic for laning but I love the idea of it)

His playstyle would barely change. Throw cleaver, deal most damage directly around you and go head first into the enemy backline and beat them to death. That's what mundo is about I thought...

Ah gotta love the downvote that comes in three seconds after you post something. Damn, at least READ the thing before clicking that arrow down button! And maybe leave a reply to why you think my idea sucks. You can't deny that mundo is one outdated waste of thematic potential anyways...

Dr. Mundo

Burning Agony (W) [NOTE: There are no actual changes to the total damage or health cost of this ability but it now ticks twice per second instead of just once - source.]

Masochism (E) [few changes, now makes next attack also deal increased damage.]

"Dr. Mundo deals an additional 5/20/35/50/65 (+ 2% total Health) magic damage on his next basic attack and increased attack damage for 5 seconds. Dr. Mundo gains an additional [+0.4/.55/.7/.85/1] attack damage for each percentage of health he is missing."
[This is an auto attack reset]

Found this on surr@20. Not much, just small changes.

Well.... as an Update, i dont see it on mundo, maybe if you tune it for a New champ completely. a hulk based champ sounds cool (imagine that ult on a 6 stack Cho gath!!!! OH MY!!! O.O) As for Mundo being outdated, hes actually the only viable counter to Garen right now, because his damage is based on max health and overal he gets more tanky than garen, Plus a Liandrys torment and no Champ will survive your damage for long(not even the "Overpowered"(actually hes crap in my opinion) darius can take him. as for his fire thing, its his Tenacity waveclear ability, in a 1v1 he has more tenacity than irelia, so he can beat her in a duel. and any champ stupid enough to get in his face is gonna take a lot of damage.

Side note, if youre ahead, get a Void staff on mundo and laugh at the adc life drops, 100 to 30% on a single cleaver. then get on their faces, and if they not dead yet, throw another cleaver and get health back with the kill.
