@Meddler No AP Items, Masteries . . . or Attention.

I think the main problem with AP champions is that almost all the items feel the same, there are hardly no options to choose from, and items that don't fit certain roles within the AP field.

  1. If you really take a look at AP items there are many items that function almost the same . . . or offer no versatility. AP itemization is extremely bland and weak in comparison to all the AD, ADC, and Juggernaut items you recently added. You need to add . . . . . more items . . . . or fix how certain items work. Nerfing the cooldown or removing mana regen on certain items doesn't help anything . . . . why fix something that really isn't broken . . . . . why are you trying so hard to sperate support mage and mage support from each other? Isn't the intended purpose of support mages to use their abilities to do damage and cc so their carries can get the kill? Separating mana regen from almost all AP mana regen items is not needed and there are other ways to give diversity to roles . . . and AP champions . . . than changing everything like this. How about adding MORE items, which is what AP champs desperately need. How about items that are exclusive to certain maps . . . and events . . . . that no one plays on hardly anymore . . . . or we see for one week a year . . . . seriously. All of it will need to be balanced of course . . . .

Moonflair Spellblade A great item for AP assassins like Diana, Akali, Eve . . . . and others.

Netherstride Grimoire Pox Arcana Rite of Ruin The above three items can essentially replace Moore . . . . which is really only used for Grievous wounds and the CD reduction. Just by adding these three it would open up SO MUCH possibilities with builds.

Globe of Trust Puppeteer Staff of Flowing Water Great items for supports that you have yet to add.

Trickster's Glass Great for supports and AP champions.

Your problem is not the way the roles function . . . it is the versatility with items you add to tanks, AD, ADC and juggernauts . . . that you do not have for any AP champions . . . . .

  1. There is officially no AP keynote mastery . . . . that is useful . . . and if it was . . . . . you nerfed it. Really the only keynote mastery that AP champions can use is Thunderlords Decree. Death Fire Touch is weak . . . . on most AP champions . . . . to me at least.

  2. The attention older AP champions that have YET to receive . . . . in their kits . . . .

Karma Eve Akali Morde Ryze Singed Other AP champions . . . .

All of these champions need WAY more attention than you think. Seriously . . . why are you CONSTANTLY adjusting Karma's numbers . . . instead of doing anything meaningful on her? You have YET to do anything to Akali, Morde, or Singed.

To close this . . . your decision to just . . . adjust how they handle mana to sperate the two roles . . . is going to do nothing but separate champions like Zyra and Karma . . . into the support role . . . . Lux . . . . . too a certain extent as well. Please put the time and effort into AP champions like you did with ADC. They are falling off compared to your work on Juggernauts and ADC/AD.

Please, please please for the love of all that is holy, stop using ellipses. Use commas. Every single time a person posts anything, anywhere, with multiple ...'s in them, the immediate connotation is that the OP is either condescending, not a very good writer, or both.

That being said, you're making a lot of general statements with no examples or facts to back your argument up. Saying "Come on guys, look at all the work 'x' needs" or "This item would do so much!" is not an argument or appeal, it's an opinion. Maybe one that has good logic behind it, but we kinda need to see some of that logic in what you write if you want people to pay attention and offer their own opinions and ideas.

TLDR (most of it) This is a post that you bitchy mage mains should make. Diversity, instead of complaining about power of mages, I see this guy open up with diversity. You have my +1.
