An Idea I Have About ADC's
So let me come perfectly clean. Silver player. So maybe the ideas that I have aren't the greatest, but you know, if you throw enough darts at a dartboard you are bound to hit a bulleye eventually, no matter how bad you are.
Anyways onto the actual point.
Riot - Adc's always build the same items and that's bad and boring for gameplay so we reworked the items to hopefully create some diversity in the build paths of Adc's.
and then the adc's disappeared.
Frankly, I understand why Riot has that particular problem with ADC's, and I actually agree with them, but the problem cannot be solved with item reworks alone. Adc's are going to have to get reworked too.
The problem with ADC's is that all of them rely on auto-attacks for their damage out put (save a handful). Sure, Lucian is a "caster" adc but his abilities don't do damage, they proc his passive which helps him do damage. Because almost all adc's use auto-attacks as their main source of damage they will always build the same stats. AD, AS, Crit. Cdr just happens to come with some of these items.
What I propose is to divide the adc role into two catagories.
Right Clickers, and AD-casters.
Right Clickers - the same as what we are used to. They use their auto attacks as their main source of damage. Their abilities are mostly used for poke, or wave clear, or keeping range from their opponents.
AD-casters - Not Lucian, or at least not right now. AD-casters will use their abilities as their main source of damage (think like a mage, but with AD scalings). Auto attacking CAN still do damage, but to maximize their damage output they rely on their abilites, not auto attacks. Thus their auto attack speed should be a little lower than expected.
THEN rework AD items....again.
- removed (or perhaps changed)
Introduce a new stat that can appear on items. Crit damage. Now some items will increase the damage your crits do. New AD items in two catagories. (In order of importance) 1.) AD, CDR, Mana Regen - these are for the AD casters, their Items will provide the base AD stat that their abilites need to pack a punch, combined with CDR and Mana Regen to keep tossing those abilities out there.
2.) Crit chance, crit damage, attack speed. - These are for the right clickers. It is important that these items remain gold efficient when compared to the new AD items (perhaps MORE gold efficient) to encourage the Right clickers to buy them instead of base AD items.
Thoughts?
item cost 200 more golds instead
crit fro 400 magic damage
