Downvoting people asking for help vs controversial champions needs to stop.

Every day I see threads where people on the boards downvote threads where people ask for help vs controversial champions. **Not whine for nerfs, but actually ask for tips in order for them to improve their gameplay against said champ. **

I really have to question why you:

A) would refuse to help someone fight your champion in an attempt to make them look more balanced

B) refuse to help when your only defense of said champion is "learn to fight them instead of bitching on the boards for nerfs"

Are you really that bull-headed in your mindset that your champion is the paragon of game balance? You really think they're so well-balanced nobody would ever have issues facing them in any match-up?

Seriously, this community is pathetic sometimes. Why can't we help each other grow instead of making immature slights at each other for having the audacity to have trouble in a match-up you might be familiar with?

Most of the people posting them arent asking for help. They just tell you that nothing works and refuse to listen to the actual counterplay.. They just want people to agree with them that the champion is op.

Definitely true as well, but I've read through a few and there are instances of people who actually seem open to learning, even if they're relatively rare.

They get mass downvoted regardless of how reasonable they're being.

Usually the mass downvotes only happen if its a mage, strangely enough...lol

Also, look at people downvoting me despite agreeing with you. This community has some issues.

There's a reason there aren't many frequent board-goers. Many people on the boards openly show hostility right out of the gates.

I dunno, I like downvoting just to see what kind reaction people give because of it. The way you overreact to an arbitrary voting system given by strangers is hilarious.

I'm not referring to the downvoting itself. The popularity of the votes is pretty meaningless.

I'm talking about showing an unwillingness to help those that are actually seeking advice, rather than whining for nerfs and claiming there's no counterplay.

Doing so is offputting to newer boards members and makes many of them not come back to the boards to look for help. We're essentially killing our own community from a lack of growth with these actions.

I just ignore the votes at this point. The reasons people upvote and downvote seem arbitrary. There is no real reason why you are getting downvoted. I posted something obvious while what you said is legitimately a problem. It's nearly impossible to seek advice from other players on this board.

I kind of what a more open environment so people actually do find counters like back in seasons 1 and 2, before things were immediately nerfed if they rose to popularity.

Every other MOBA has instances of this. I don't get why its such a problem in League's community.

True, but I'm referring to the people that actually ask how to play against them in lane. Not the ones that are just raging and bitching about how the champ has no counterplay and needs to be nerfed.

He was being downvoted for the first 30+ minutes it was made.

Seems like some of them were changed, however. He was at -4 at one point.

Point remains; many people are too openly hostile as a gut reaction based solely on assumptions. It leads to a lot of people not coming back to the boards. Between season 1 and now the boards have been slowly killing themselves. I want to see some growth again.
