There's a common misconception that Sona is only good in lower tiers (plat and under), but oddly enough, according to op.gg her challenger win rate is actually higher than in any other division.

As a Sona main, I would agree that late game is when she kicks things into high gear.

Though I think that late game power is a stigma in this so called "Snowball meta." I also think that misconception in Low ELO games, comes from the fact that it takes longer to close out games in that elo, allowing more time to reach that late game power.

well it's pretty easy to tell what and where you need to hit, and her loads of aoe make her perfect team comp material. that being said you can catch her out pretty easily and if she tries to go in poke solo lategame you can punish her hard, unlike SOME champions Karma cough cough that can pretty much 1v3 kite forever with support builds later.
