im just curious. was she always intended to be a diver?

just looking at her visual character design, and her kit in general you would expect a skirmisher similar to Yasuo Fiora Riven or maybe even an assassin instead of a more beefy fighter.

is she another Quinn situation, where she was originally designed as a different type of champion? and then some slight changes to her kit were made on short notice to change her to what she is now?

to people who dont know what im talking about, Quinn was originally designed as a melee ad assassin and not a marksman. she was changed into a ranged champion somewhere in the later stages of her develpment when most of her kit was already set in stone. but its like they never got the assassin out of her. she always still played and felt like it. (including her lore, which makes much more sense if you know what she originally was meant to be).

As it is she does everything, i thought riot learned a lesson from making azir and kalista, but camille is so stupidly overloaded and has so many unnecessary things on her kit that is insane.

her kit kinda would make sense if she was more of a slightly more mobile, and a bit more squishy skirmisher.

if you look at it, she has

  • a situational defense steroid
  • large bursts of true damage from her q on a decently short cooldown
  • plays around positioning
  • lots of mobility, once her e is on like a 6s cooldown with 40% cdr and rank 5
  • a high impact teamfight ult

this seems very similar to the other skirmisher kits.

like if her shield would scale with bonus ad, or level instead of % max health and her e was available more often early, i could totally believe that she was always intended to be a skirmisher.
