Walk a mile through the brush in my shoes.

You know those games you would have won if only your ally had not thrown? Sad to say, some times it really is the junglers fault.

When my adc calls for dragon and I allow that to happen and my allies die. That's my fault for not yelling at my allies not to go for MY obj.

Keep this main play in mind, while I explain why your jungler will win or lose your game.

League consists of 3 lanes 5 players. When it get's down to it, yes players do need to be generally aware of what is going on around the map. But mostly need to focus on where they are. The adc is allowed to focus on last hitting, because his direct support is able to give vision and general awareness. As jungler, you can be just as aware toward bot lane by tracking enemy jungler movements and knowing where he is and wants to go. Awareness is huge but to me I would say the main job of the jungler is to contribute as much as possible to all three lanes, and to the map overall. Not favoring one champion too heavily, and caring not to leave an ally ignored when they would need you there.

Just before i explain why dragon is my call not yours. Let's go over a couple ganks. Top lane for example.

I walk up, clear a ward, deal 200 damage, drop a ward and walk aware. What did the jungler just do? I came up, let their top know "hey I'm watching you, you might not want to go agro for the next minute" and I say "hey jungler, psst I'm up here.". May have done enough to tap which may not be alot but it's a tap. And now I know when I see enemy jungler near top from my vision, that I am free to invade enemy jung on opposite side. As well as see his hp and items. I can guage if he is going to shop soon or not. If so, I know his move will be to go base and hit his bot jng then go to a lane with a fresh buy.

I take in ALL this information, while tracking 2 other lanes as well as 2 enemy jungles and a dragon. While watching my ally ulti timers, dragon timers, overall vision. tracking which lane is leading cs and how fast the gold gains are. This is jungler life. You don't have a lane, you have a map to watch over. Do not expect your lanes to have any idea what you are doing. How many times I have ganked top, get a kill or assist and I have like %10 hp left. Enemy starts dragon and ends up taking it. And my bot lane wants to bitch at me? I pinged 20 seconds ahead of before I went top so you knew where i was going. I know whether or not enemy top has tele and will be back in lane or not, and I know if their jungler is equipped or located in a position to respond to top. should it be pushed frozen or roam?

At all times your jungler should know what is going on and where. As bot if you make a play to burn their ss, call it. Let me know, I can try to be down there within the next 2 minutes. Alternatively if I come bot lane and burn their ss. Yes you can try to get their kills, but be aware their jungler will be keeping his eye out to protect.

As jungler, you have to know the mechanics of all three lanes. You have to know that it IS good enough to go top, burn their flash and gtfo. 1 minute later your top laner will get the kill and attract their jungle, which takes pressure off your bot lane.

Sometimes if your bot lane is 2-3 kills behind, that is just near impossible to help. It's a hard recovery. So maybe the best play is for bot to play safe and wait. While jungler can hit top and mid attract their jungler elsewhere. And bring your top and mid champs to bot lane, lure their top out of lane and have adc farm top. Maybe that's a good rotation, can your jungler balance a new lane meta across map? Maybe yes maybe no. But if you would TRUST your jungler, you would be happy to find that he does know more than you do. because he has been watching 2 more lanes than you have since the start of the game. And you can also trust that he picked jungle, because he know's how to balance all lanes and help you to do your job.

You are not an ADC if you are not kept alive. You cannot be kept alive if you are not near your tank. If your TANK jungler, just told you he's going to red buff then shop then mid. Then you better not extend yourself on a place that he cant get to.

Too many times I've said these things to myself.

"god, why the hell would I play adc, when I can get first blood. have an over agro support that cant pick up on my playstyle. Tanks that ignore me and don't peel for me, and a horribad teamcomp around me that does not help me to engage OR stay alive. And to top it off, even if I do win lane that just means more enemies come at me."

"Why the hell am I stuck supporting an adc who can't position, can't cs, and I've got 2 other hyperfeed lanes and somehow a 4 death ally jungler. Great."

"Neat-o! I've got a nice chunk of gold, good items. Too bad I cant get any ally cc to help me get anything done, and I have not seen more than 2 allies together in over 40 minutes. No wonder we are 7 turrets behind"

"how can I POSSIBLY jungle when I have 3 lanes who have 8 deaths at 6 minutes gameplay? WTF IS THIS!?"

I've tried it all. can I adc carry? can i support carry? can i win mid then bot enough? Tank jungle fits me well. Mostly because NOBODY plays tanks. ever. not once. nobody. But I call plays, left right and center. You go here. You wouldn't be asking me why if you had the awareness I have, and since you don't I need you to trust that I do. This is proven any time an ally dies when they ignore your retreat ping. You knew something they didn't. They ignored you, everybody suffered. Prevent this by calling plays that pan out positively early. earn that respect of your allies so they know early you should be trusted. Most of all don't die. Just don't die. Holy crap, don't die. And if you NEED baron to win, then you aren't in position to win anyway, so you shouldn't be trying to start baron my god.

Being a main tank jungle for quite some time. I have had success. I've had MORE success since I've started calling plays constantly. Which works, when I get teams that see what I see and make their own good plays. A few retreat pings or a ward can be alot of information to the right players. When you don't know the players around you, give as much information to everyone as possible and hope that it is enough to improve their game for THAT MATCH enough to help you win.

Believe me. Many many many games I have had 1 death on a team with 32 deaths. And I've wondered.. how the hell does that happen? I've been able to stay alive.. why cant my allies? Everytime i see the enemy they have 200.300.420.500 more gold than I do. Stop dying. Don't die. To me as a tank jungler. When an ally cries out "oh you suck why wernt you here?" No dude. YOU suck. Did I tell you to go there? no Did I ping to you that I was going there? no Did you look at my mana bar or ultimate CD before you went there and died? no I knew the near kill situation your lane was in, I've been watching 3 lanes. All you had to do was let me finish my route, shop and get to you.

Jungler for life. Jungle jungle jungler know's it all. That is why jungler should be calling the global obj, nobody else. If anything, a solo top wants to make a push top, that's fine. I know a solo top will have awareness and I've been watching your movement patterns and vision to ensure that I can trust your calls. Still, ping the turret so I know. And I can retreat ping or send another ally to assist. I will know where enemy champs are and if they will respond. If each laner would rely on their jungler for world awareness. Each laner would be able to further focus on their individual lanes. increasing their chances of winning lane into mid game. Without the stress of "where is the enemy and what is the next obj?". Your jungler has been plotting 3 minutes ahead all game, just look to them.

If you are NOT a jungler. I can see what it would look like to you. If you don't understand general jng routes. How specific champs behave in jng at game times. If you don't play in the jungle, than you don't know what it is like to have somebody else call your obj and make terrible plays. I don't care which lane you come from, it is the junglers river. You can go kill the bug, but you are killing it for the jungler. So they have vision, so they have the freedom to help where it is needed. Because you killed bug, you saved jungler 25 seconds, which got jungler to bot lane 25 seconds sooner to secure kill ahead of enemy jungler. You can't really call upon your jungler and expect them to be there. If the jungler were ready to go help bot lane and dragon, he would be there. You don't need to ask. It's not the junglers fault that the enemy adc has a BF sword, a taric with lots of hp. All flash heal and exh up. And as an underfec jng you want me to go waste time in your lane and possibly die? No. sit and wait until I or mid can come to you. Mid should be watching this too. But as jungler, maybe you need to gank mid, push their mid out, then have both of you go bot lane. If a 2 man gank needs to be set up. Bot lane has t be prepped, mid has to prep, jng has to prep. And you have to know ahead of time what the potential back push would be. This is why I say JUNGLER JUNGLER JUNGLER. Cause he knows where everyone is.

Mid may say "omg lets group and push mid already!" Don't listen to him. He needs to say. "hey jungler. Based on your world awareness, should we push mid? Should we split push? do we have 1 player who needs to farm 1k to finish item before we have a team fight initiated? Should I spend 2 minutes on vision and shop then push?" Cause the jungler knows. Mid laner may not know. Top laner may not know.

To all you main junglers, keep doing what you are doing and be the unappreciated hero that everyone needs.

To you non junglers. We don't need your grief about you dying because "i wasnt there" Not my fault you ignored my plays. I told you where to go and where not to go.

That's just how you gotta do it. I've tried managing team from mid position. It's too much, because you still need the backing of your jungler to pick up on the plays and know what will ensue from your presence. It's too precarious. But as main jungle, I can pull my mid back for 40 seconds and be there. Or i can pull my mid back, run to cover top and send my top mid cause in my head i've compare power levels. You have control over everything. IF You have the players who not only follow through strong plays. But are able to lead their own strong plays.

Do not ignore your jungler! They will win your game.

Support should call for dragon if its a good idea, jungler can veto if they want. Unless jungler is actually going to watch the thing and keep up with everyone else that closely, which they probably aren't. Sometimes they have other things to do.
