welcome to ranked. ahem "ranked"

So here I am. 6 of my teams 8 kills when the enemy has 20 kills.

Wondering what matchmaking is doing to me.

Why is it that I am the only person of millions of players. that understands the very basic concept that the enemy has kills, because you have deaths. I mean.. if you don't die, they don't get kills. Why is this so hard to figure out?

I understand "blame the jungler". But it's not my fault, that most players just do not understand jungle.

First off. League is won by destroying the enemy nexus. If this is news to you, go play 500 more normal matches before even approaching ranked and dragging it down. To destroy the nexus, you get turrets out of your way. To get the turrets out of your way, you have to puch the minions out of your way. You don't HAVE to push enemy champions out of your way, you just have to watch for opportunities when they take themselves out of the way, and you jump in push minions and turrets. When the enemy jungler is seen near top portion of map, go take one of their camps from bot, grab vision, clear your bottom half of map, go shop. Pretty simple. When you drop a ward in enemy jungler while stealing, you will see they are in their jungle thinking "where did my camps go? and while they do so, you are already top lane able to gank, or clearing more of their camps or your own, while securing more vision.

It's a pretty simple formula that gets you ahead and puts jungler behind. Just keep your vision up, watch for opportunity, don't force opportunity, GAIN GOLD. And then.. GAIN MORE GOLD.

It's been argued lanes can gain more gold than jungler, as minions keep coming forward. But no.. When you have your jungle item equipped the bonus gold will give you faster gold gains than killing 5 minions per wave will so long as you keep up your speed. Which is not hard. It is not hard. Again, it's really not hard in any way.

So here you are. Gaining gold, gaining levels, gaining push speed, and pushing at every opportunity when your enemy are absent from defending an obj. Which may be one of 3 turrets, dragon, rift, river bugs, warding/stealing enemy buffs. Any name player will tell you it's all about turning the tides. That's exactly what junglers do! I cannot tell you how many times I've went and ganked a lane, burned enemy flash, and 1 minute later my laner gets a kill because they stayed safe and smart. Same situation, I gank to burn flash and not over commit, just to get yelled at "what a joke gank! learn to jungle, your a joke". People just don't get it.. They don't have flash because of my presence, and we both stayed alive. Taking their flash, takes away their aggression, your welcome by the way. Junglers have SO much potential, so much power. Their presence, helps lanes. Their absence while growing and clearing camps, helps lanes. When lanes cannot help themselves, this just hurts the jungler, which hurts all lanes.

If you cannot stay alive mid lane and rely on your jungler. GO play normal and learn to play mid. If you cannot hold top. Cannot trade top. cannot switch lanes and stop losing top. Go play normal and learn to top.

I don't need you to blame the jungler. Too many games I've had my 10 death in 10 minute team. I've farmed farmed farmed, and at 20 minutes turned it around so we could win. Simply because I've invested my time gaining gold opposed to wasting time trying to help lanes that cannot be helped. Sometimes it is better just to let you lose and carry you later.

But my god. When I've got 3 losing lanes that cannot stop dying. And I end up 5-0-3 on a team that is 8-18. I don't need to hear you bitching "oh jungler doesn't help!". At a certain point, you cannot be helped and just need to realize you shouldn't even fucking be in ranked wasting my time.

What the hell is wrong with this matchmaking? Why is it more often than not, I can see an enemy lane winning 2:1 or better. And not my ally lanes able to do the same? Why? WHY!?!?!? Just stay alive. That's it. I can carry you. But you have to be able to carry yourself so far.

It seems to happen more often when I hit promos. It's like matchmaking say's "MUWHAHAHAHHAHA!!! Just try to win with these players on your team. there's no way you can POSSIBLY gain rank with these allies. It won't happen. never. NEVER!!! evil laugh". I don't understand.

Many games I've lost against a 4 tank comp when I have 1 tank (myself). And a team that cannot group, defend, or split push. Tanks can't fight against split push as well as they can fight team fights, or with surprise ganks where they out number. I mean, it is season 6. If you have not been exposed to these wins and losses. If you do not have the experience to know how to engage or not engage a certain situation. Why are you allowed to be in the same ranked games as us season 1 players?

By now I've played at least 4000 matches. I doubt I'm exaggerating. Probably played at least that many games. So I do have a certain level of experience and knowledge I bring to a match. Matchmaking shows 0 consideration of placing me with players who understand what I do. There is no protection from the verbal distracting abuse. Aside from me hiding my chat bar in every game, I simply do not allow chat. I don't need it. No ally is going to add to the awareness I have. And me trying to give my allies awareness is a complete waste. As they should have it for themselves,a nd if they don't they don't even listen to the pings or warnings I give. Here I am as jungler, chased out of my jungle by enemy mid and jungle. It's pretty clear jungler is going to head toward bot lane, so I ping, and get back to base to heal. 15 seconds later, my bot lane dies to jungler without showing they had any idea he was coming. SO I have to watch enemy gain gold because of an ally decision that I tried to prevent, but I'm powerless to because somebody else doesn't have the awareness. And this happens, over and over, daily. Thank you matchmaking. So what. I'm supposed to be in plat before I can expect allies to be as experienced as I? I'm supposed to GET to plat with the allies I'm given? Yeah right. Not gonna happen.

I used to think bronze was impossible to get out of, then I realized just to play tanks. Nobody play's tanks. ever. And if you are a tank, you can rely on the enemy to focus you and you can bait for your strong carry to get more and more kills. Now silver.. worse? it's just so random, unreliable. And omfg the feed. The FEED. Terrifying.

Matchmaking does nothing to help you. And now season 6. The most un fun season yet. There are so many broken champions. SO many broken items. And it really takes skill and knowledge to counter these "no skill" plays. I may have the knowledge. I may have 1 ally that has the knowledge. But if my top lane doesn't know how to counter darius, you can guarantee dar will have BC, tier 2 boots, and pretty much any items he wants beyond that and be able to teleport anywhere and get all the multikills necessary to push over and over.

My god riot. What have you done? It's great that we get to pick 1 of 2 roles before going in. That helps. It's great we can do more than duo Q. Supposing we are able to recruit like minded players in our time zone.

But something has to be done with matchmaking itself. First off, I really don't think hitting level 30 is nearly enough to be allowed to ranked. I would love ranked to be pay to play. But I know you won't d that. So at least, make it a 2 year minimum before being able to join ranked. In no way is this unreasonable. It is ranked. RANKED. Take it serious, or don't Q. Simple. If you are in it for 2 years, then you've shown you have committed enough time to grow your strengths and be willing to take on the challenges to grow further and fight other players. Like minded players.

As is, I can't trust my allies. Sometimes, yeh I do get great teams. Sometimes I do have 2 balanced teams who are equally skilled with close games. But not nearly often enough. Snowball elo. And it's random. It's not ranked. There is not enough consideration for my personal skill when considering who I am playing with. If I have a 3 KDA or higher streak, then cater to that and keep it going! Sure give me 1 ally who's on a loss streak, give me 1 player you expect to be carried. But put him alongside other high KD players who demonstrate awareness and ability to carry. Balance the teams. I am so tired of these situations where I am involved in %80 of my teams kills, which are only %40 of the enemies kills and gold. Clearly when a single player stands out that far from his allies. They are not in the same league. Yet in the end, the loss takes that single players LP and sends them down the ranks further. Making it harder to attain the rank they should be in. While mentally crushing the person at the same time.

Seriously, you use ELO. A ranking system developed to rank 1v1 chess. How does this apply to a 5v5? Jokes.

Just saying. When people blame jungler it's becuase they are bad. It's not the jungler Job to win your lane for you. I'll give you wards and vision but if you die solo or lose lane becuase you didn't ward, that's on you.

You do know they changed from the ELO system to the League system which RIOT had to make themselves right?

They abandoned the ELO system once season 3 started. ELO the word is still used because it just stuck.

Old Elo system and this is the new League System.
