Why is Olaf picked in pro play?

Sometimes over Lee Sin and such what does he do better and what is his strategic niche in a team comp?

Well coordinated teams know how to optimally layer their CC to lock someone down. That makes Olaf's Ult far more potent than it is in disorganization games.

probably because of how much utility + burst damage most champs have. Or When lee sin's Q is totally dodged by a malzahar minion blocking it or being held down. The ability to be immune and charge in with a ton of shield power and such is probably why it's considered scary.

Think it's just cuz he clears -very- fast, and has pretty good early ganks. He's stronger against cc heavy teams, and has more stats than lee, but is also obviously much worse at a lot of things.

Could also be champ synergies, an Olaf/Karma is scarier than a Lee/Karma for example.

Olaf is really good at running in and brute forcing things to death, ignoring any crowd control tossed his way.

olaf is good based on team comps that allows him to get into the middle of the shit if ya know what i mean

he can build pure tank and have high base damages due to his kit...
