Playing Shyvana feels like you have to work harder to get the same results as other junglers

I loved the changes Riot made during the mini rework but the extra nerf to her monster camp damage was heavy-handed and everybody pretty much stopped playing her afterward because other champs could perform her job better. She's still below average in lane but also below average in the jungle and by now everyone has figured out just to keep a ward near dragon. I think she could use a little love somewhere.

Please! She's such a fun champion to play, I love playing her, and she can be really good but she's just not strong enough :(

Agreed. Her slow jungle clear early often means that I can't trust myself to try and gank, but still keep up with everyone, and often times I find I struggle to try and keep her alive if one camp goes slightly wrong. I'd love to get into her, but for now I'm stuck playing the wolf and the Living Tree because they are reliable and faster in their clears.

Agreed. Her slow jungle clear early

Slow early clear compared to who? Her early clear is just fine.

Her clear is slow compared to fiddle, Warwick, Ivern, Sej, Rammus, Yi, hell, if it wasn't for his health problems that prevent him from jungling Karthus has a faster clear speed.

What? I can clear all 6 camps by 3:38. The only one of those junglers that can clear that quickly is Yi, and that's only if you're being greedy and running full AS marks, glyphs, and quints. I could probably get Shyvana's clear down to sub-3:30 if I had a different setup but I prefer the 20% scaling CDR. Even with the CDR, I'm usually left standing at gromp for a good 10 seconds waiting for it to respawn for my second clear.

Eh, I guess it might be because I was jungle pathing a bit odd with her, still getting use to the role and I picked her up only recently because I like her design. So, it might be because of that. Though, I'm also very cautious with my health.

You should try Udyr

Agreed, her early clear is great and your doing it wrong if otherwise. In fact i think that's the main issue, most don't know how to clear efficiently with her nerfed w.

@thread Shyv kind of needs mobility. Itd be really cool if her ultimate had two versions; a mobility one that consumed say 25 rage and was basically a "dragon rush" (Like her regular ult, just with no transform, damage, or CC) when her rage isnt full and was available from the start.

A lot of the problems with shyv come from the fact that shes largely immobile unfortunately, although when she gets ahead she really, really gets ahead so maybe mobility on her is a bad idea. A cool one, but bad all the same.

I think that we are reaching a point where champions like Shyvana and Volibear are just going to be pushed out by champs like Lee Sin and Ekko who have kits so overloaded that their damage and mobility make it so they can engage or disengage without ever thinking about it. That's why I am saying Shyvana can still win you games but you can't make any mistakes. I don't think that Shyvana being able to clear her first clear 6 seconds faster than the next champ is really going to shoot her up the win charts.
