Can we please get a "move only click" option?

The fact that I have to move and attack with the same input is easily the clunkiest aspect of MOBA games. I'm getting really tired of autoing minions when I'm trying to run away or chase someone down in hectic situations. It's not just me being bad, either. There are numerous instances in pro games where players have died or lost a kill because they intended to issue a move command, but a minion/ward appeared under their cursor. It's actually a viable tactic to fuck up someone's attack-move kiting by dropping a ward between yourself and them. This isn't depth: bad controls shouldn't be a core gameplay mechanic of a competitive game.

It's called right clicking...

most people to attack use "Attack move click" to Orb walk more easier.

Right click will attack if there is a target below it. There's an option called "attack only click" where if there's nothing there, it wont issue a move command instead, I want the inverse, where the option ONLY issues move commands. So I can completely separate movement and attacking.

...

What is the point of this, btw?

Just use attack move click when people are chasing you to kite/orbwalk them.

And stop being a "Total Jerk" xD

Are you not understanding me? That does not solve the problem of issuing attack commands when anything but ground is near your click target.

Turn off auto attacks when stop then.

THATS WHAT I SAID XD

Let me repeat myself again: If you right click and anything is under where you clicked, your character will attack it instead of moving. I want an option that DOESN'T do this.

It's like you didn't even read what the guy said.

If you only right click I don't think it attacks anything if you have auto-retaliate off.

LostFr0st1 votes

Will going into a custom game and turning off auto-retaliate fix the problem?

I disabled this not long after I started playing. It only makes your character shoot back if they get hit.

So your character is trying to attack stuff while you're running using only right click and no left click input commands? That is indeed strange.

This is the basic functionality of right click. You right click a minion, your character attacks it, you right click the ground, your character walks there. What I'm asking for is an option that when pressed will ONLY issue movement commands regardless of what you click. we already have an "attack only click". I want to be able to use both of these options so that my movement and attacking are seperate buttons.

Have you ever played an FPS where "reload" and "use" are the same button, and you inadvertently pick up some shit you didn't want because you tried to reload while standing on top of it? This is the kind of annoyance that having attack and move on the same button is for me.

Left Click attacks Right Click moves ^The above is what happens for me on my computer. It's also why I'm confused at why something else happens on your end.

Maybe bind the stop command "S" to a good hotkey? That halts all inputs though so it's not likely going to help you.

I would love an "Only target enemies" button

I often cast single target spells on my own minions just as the enemy minion dies.

What targeted spell works on enemy AND allied minions?

If you dig through the options when you press esc, I think there's a way to set something to move, and not attack even if there is something where you clicked, but I don't remember exactly. I'm pretty sure this feature already exists. It's just harder to input it as fast so most people don't use it very much.

I checked before I made this thread, it doesn't exist.
