Question about support items - i want your opinion
So i was running pyke with 
and i noticed i am reaching the 500 gold mark within 8-10 minutes.
I get with it a lot of gold just naturally by picking up the orbs and i just noticed it has a clear edge over 
in that regard.
Spellthief requires you to poke A TON to finish at 12-14 minutes which is not always possible due to mana issues with certain champions and if the enemies are dodging skillshots it makes it even harder.
Now, i was playing 
and i thought to myself... maybe i should go on him instead of due to sheer gold advantage it could provide....
The obvious downside is that i lose the 20 AP and the mana regen...
BUT...
gives easier, faster gold that could help me buy AP items sooner and drops mana coins which provide very good mana sustain...
I want your opinion. I think it might be really viable.
is the best by far. You have to be poke people constantly throughout the whole game to make up the differences in value. The Ap is nice though, and so is the early mana regeneration. I still pick 
for some of my champs because of that, and TBH I think the gold you lose out on is not worth being picky. You will likely only get enough gold to buy half an item with the difference you make.
is healing. The one I take is usually matchup dependent.
