but yasuo is """anti-fun""" so I need to make 6 threads about him hourly

AmazoX6 votes

[zombie-brand-clap] So true.

RainXBlade2 votes

We need a board where all Yasuo shitposts go to.

Oh wait....

Karfuss19 votes

The problem is the extent to which they are healthy to the game, and their healthy interactions.

Being immensely safe and nigh ungankable is one thing (and the reason she has a high win rate. Post 6 you're not feeding or dying quickly with Ahri).

Getting 100% crit from two items due to an overloaded passive is not healthy, and you cannot pretend that Yasuo's abilities (namely the windwall) are nothing short of obnoxious. Removing all projectiles (ultimates included) is not a healthy interaction.

RainXBlade5 votes

Yasuo is healthy.

Yaśuo Main9 votes

I'm pretty sure the only ability that gets people pissed off is his wind wall, bud. Don't generalize his abilities into obnoxious.

Not to mention the Wind Wall is also a sign of "walk around it or get out" or blow all your projectiles into it. The only time you'd accidentally do that is if Yasuo is some prediction god and uses Wind Wall at the exact moment you use all your projectiles and/or your teammate/teammates use all their projectiles. It's a healthy interaction for how blatantly obvious it is, in general.

Karfuss9 votes

Hence, wind wall got a special mention bud.

And let's not pretend dashing through minion waves, even more so with a third Q dash on yourself, isn't obnoxious. His passive shield too.

And note, wind wall is instant. You do not need to be a 'prediction god' to mash buttons when you've got several projectiles and an ultimate heading your way.

Have you considered not being a trash can who throws all of your abilities out at Yasuo's wind wall at once?

Karfuss3 votes

Have you considered that once projectiles have been fired, you do not become the Prince of Persia and can turn back time as Yasuo throws up a wind wall?

AmazoX2 votes

You say that as if you can only fire projectiles once in a match.

Karfuss1 votes

No, but you can certainly fire your projectile ultimate once in a team fight. And they usually are quite important.

There is a thing called baiting windwall you know...

I'm a Yasuo main. =)

Yaśuo Main9 votes

His passive shield too.

Note that any amount of damage, any KIND of damage, applied in anyway breaks it. Sun Fire Cape, Tiamat, auto attacks, DFG and etc. all break it. Useless if enemies have a brain unless you intentionally zone yourself out of the minions to preserve it.

His dashes in general would be absolute shit if it were gated by charges, energy, or any resource due to how small it is. Yasuo using his dashes to its full extent straight through a wave is equal to the distance of one and a half of an Ahri Ult, which Yasuo's E isstill only at it's potential near minions or in laning phase. Sure yeah EQ from Yasuo is annoying and it is probably the only viable thing you even bring up, but at the same time it completely nullifies his potential to 2 man ultimate when being ganked unless your JG sticks to you like glue.

Wind Wall being instant cast is literally insanely vital to it's viability because if it even have a 0.5 second cast time, it would be near useless unless, as I say again, you are a "prediction god" and manage to predict a projectile that has no cast time compared to 0.5 cast time, which is a huge difference when adding in the variables of reaction time and reflexes. And the idiots that literally send all their projectile ults/abilities straight into Yasuo's face seriously need to know what a Wind Wall does in the first place.

Karfuss4 votes

Bias.

Yaśuo Main8 votes

Yet your entire comment consisted of using Yasuo as an excuse to substitute OP's Post.

Karfuss3 votes

And it still does. But the fact remains that you, yourself, are a self-proclaimed Yasuo main.

There isn't going to be an objective discussion, as your last message made abundantly clear, so why bother?

Yaśuo Main7 votes

You literally only spouted out circle jerk style bull shit that had no credibility and treated it as some kind of argument. All you say now is Bias and now assume bias due to my name, even though I proved I had no bias in multiple other posts and comments, suggesting viable nerf such as Yasuo Q actually being treated like an auto attack and putting Yasuo's auto attack on CD, so you can't just auto Q auto for a ton of damage at level 1.

Karfuss4 votes

Ban rates speak for themselves.

The community at large, believes Yasuo to be obnoxious for the exact same reasons I've already listed.

PS - No. I assumed bias from your last message, and guessed why, due to your name. :)

Yaśuo Main4 votes

You literally only spouted out circle jerk style bull shit that had no credibility and treated it as some kind of argument.

And yes, the ban rates clearly show that Ahri is much stronger than Yasuo and with a way smaller ban rate, hinting to the "hidden OP" syndrome. He's only obnoxious to play against when it's your first time playing against him in general, since he capitalizes on mistakes. He literally uses low elo mistakes to success in climbing, hence why the amount of circle jerks he has got is so massive.

NineTailedMystic3 votes

Yet despite Ahri having a high pickrate and win rate for quite some time, and even picked in LCS, her ban rate has increased about...5% give or take. Sounds to me most people don't have a problem with her.

Yaśuo Main3 votes

Clearly because the entirety of that time was Yasuo circle jerks exploding on the boards, distracting most of the shitposters, band wagons and circle jerk starters. I bet you won't say that people won't have a problem with her when the Ahri circle jerks catch on, or until 10 bans arrive and she's permabanned. She isn't "toxic" to play against, which is the only thing going for you. Not sure why you provoked me.

And high pick rate + high win rate = clearly OP but not known to be. You already proved to yourself that she's insanely strong.

GayFluffyUnicorn3 votes

Because ahri isn't quite as hard to deal with as kata, graves, lulu, fiora, vlad, tank fizz/bruiser fizz. As always, just because a champ isn't banned often doesn't mean they are NOT op. And most champs banned are mostly banned due to their kits being unfun, unhealthy to play against especially when ahead. Ahri is just pretty much overtuned after the entire competition got nerfed.

DKM Bismarck6 votes

Ahri isn't "hidden OP" she is straight out in the open OP and her banrate will likely rise when 10 bans are implemented. But so will Yasuo's, nobody bans him because he is OP, they ban him because he is one of the most frustrating champions to deal with due to high mobility, high damage, 100% crit after 2 items and being semi hard to shut down in soloq as it is clown fiesta enough to hit mid game before people can close out and even a 1/6 Yasuo with PD IE will be able to duel any squishy unless that squishy is someone like Zed or Talon and they are really ahead of him. People ban Yasuo because half of his kit is, and I despise this buzzword, "toxic" in their eyes

Yep, and the E dashing is a fixed part of his kit that's toxic. You can't "nerf" it without gutting him, but leaving it as is still creates toxic gameplay.

It's bad to use one game as an example, but A yasuo with this kind of setup should never be able to win lane against anything

Again, you can't nerf the ability without gutting Yas, but leaving it as is still creates an unhealthy game mechanic.

There is little you can do to Yas without gutting him, but leaving him unchanged still leaves a toxic champ to play against

That Galio was beating Yasuo's ass in lane and constantly forcing him out, yet had half Yasuo's CS over six minutes in. He's a fucking garbage can lmao.

And despite that, Yasuo would have been solo killed in lane if Kha hadn't come to help burst him down.

Troll for Trump1 votes

He shouldn't just be winning. Just for getting some bs like gold/sec runes, masteries, and spellthief's edge, you shouldn't be allowed to farm or exist at all.

It should be a complete stomp. Yas shouldn't be able to kill Galio, dmg him, sustain dmg, or do anything.

Yaśuo Main1 votes

Please, for the love of god, that retarded Yasuo build is so shit in a mirror match or if Yasuo is being countered. I don't like it at all, and any Yasuo that was playing against me with THAT shit build never won lane, because I wanted them to be punished as hard as possible. I personally do not like that build at all, both for it being stupidly easy to abuse AND useless in certain match ups.

But you aren't getting those items early, where it's most significant.

Yeah, I can understand that. He makes melee's cry a bit, nothing compensates for it.

Exactly.

How the fk is he competing with the Galio at all?

Even if you're good at Yas, there's no way that you should be able to stand any chance against the Galio WITHOUT hp pots, proper runes and proper masteries.

To be fair, Yasuo didn't always get 100% crit off of two items. Back then he actually had to build Shiv, IE, AND a third crit item if he wanted the full 100%, making him much more killable due to how squishy he was. Now PD gives damage reduction, and he builds Frozen Mallet with his extra slot and gets much tankier than he should be. It's obnoxious

Yes but you need to remember he also lost the free armor pen on his ult when Riot nerfed his ult passive. He used to get the armor pen from his ult 24/7, even if he didn't ult someone. Now he doesn't need to build as many items to get his crit, but he lost the free armor pen, so in a way it balances out.

It was only changed from pure armor pen to bonus armor pen, it's still there. This essentially makes him still good at shredding tanks when you account for the new last whisper items, while still being able to delete squishies. It's a bit overwhelming to say the least

Name a single champion in Yasuo's class save perhaps Ekko that isn't good at shredding tanks and killing squishies.

When properly itemized against, Zed, Talon, Katarina, and many other "Slayers". Because they aren't supposed to be able to. They do their damage in bursts, which tanks are very good at enduring. However, Yasuo does sustained damage, while still doing damage quickly enough to melt pretty much anything. I've always said I don't think Yasuo is broken, but he's definitely a little out of line when you consider that plus the ability to literally erase ultimates

Because Ekko isn't officially considered an assassin by Riot anymore, he's considered a skirmisher.

Except most of Ekko's damage is burst, and not DPS. You could argue that the missing health damage on auto counts as DPS, but it isn't anywhere near the 500 damage per auto attacks that Yasuo has, nor does Ekko normally build attack speed, meaning his DPS is very low when compared to Yasuo. One of these champions is very out of line with what a Skirmisher is supposed to be.

Yasuo does so much damage on each auto it starts to become more burst like than sustained damage, but due to the nature of sustained damage and what sustained damage is, it IS sustained damage. And in that case, it's way too much sustained damage for also having what he has

PermabannedGaren4 votes

{quoted}

Low cooldowns, relatively low burst rotation, a passive that encourages sticking to a target and repeatedly slapping them.

So then you're conceding that skirmishers have both burst and sustained damage, with Yasuo falling in line with his champion class and Ekko being the odd one out?

They aren't tbh. Even if Riot is wrong about how some champions are classified that doesn't make the labels arbitrary.

Yet every character in his class has the traits you highlighted as being cancer, high DPS and burst damage. This is true of all skirmishers in varying degrees and true of many marksmen.

3x 1.5% is a difference of 3%

Meanwhile Ahri is picked 15% more

Don't lie about statistics ty

ModAcademy Kayn3 votes

I mean he's kinda right. Champ.GG isn't as accurate as it used to be.

Here's one of my personally trusted sites:

According to these sites, Yasou is banned 4 times more than her for a total 30% difference, while only being picked 7% more. If you're going to say he's lying at least show some proof as to why. An argument without any evidence isn't an argument. It's an opinion.

And then to further prove my statistics, I found similar results on another website: League of Graphs

The only big difference there being a 6% difference in Banrate between Lolayltics and LoG for Yasou. I dare you to try and find similar stats for Champion.GG's unreliable stats. So, uh, don't talk shit about statistics, thank you.

GULAG 4 U1 votes

problem with lolalytics is that it directly contradicts sites like OPGG too.

OPgg doesn't say that Yasuo has a high ban rate.
