The EASIEST Solution for Skarner's Spires...
If you thought I was going to type "remove them", then you are wrong! (Though I still love that option XD)
Here is the best way to keep Skarner's spires in the game:
Passive: Crystal Spires
Skarner's presence causes a number of Crystal Spires to appear at set points on the battlefield, which can be captured by champions who stand near them for 2 seconds. Once captured, Crystal Spires are owned until contested and the defending team can stand on the spire to prevent the opposing team from capturing it.
Crystal Spires grant 30 gold split among its captors upon being captured, or 15 gold if only a single champion participated in its capture, and provide Sight icon sight around them for 1.5 seconds upon being captured, becoming impossible to recapture for 15 seconds.
CRYSTAL CHARGE: While within range of a Crystal Spire controlled by his team, or while an enemy is Stun icon stunned with Fracture Fracture or Suppression icon suppressed with Impale Impale, Skarner gains 70 − 120 (based on level) Movement speed icon bonus movement speed, 43% − 160% (based on level) Attack speed icon bonus attack speed and restores Mana icon 2% maximum mana every second. Skarner receives maximum stacks of his Crystal Charge passive.
OVERCHARGE: While within range of a Crystal Spire controlled by his team, Skarner regenerates 2% of his maximum mana every second.
Q: Crystal Slash
NEW: Crystal Charge: Hitting Enemies with Crystal Slash grants Skarner a stack of Crystal Charge stacking up to three times. Each stack of Crystal Charge grants Skarner 8/11/14/17/20% increased attack speed and 5/6/7/8/9% Increased movement speed. Crystal Charge stacks last 5 seconds and are refreshed upon hitting an enemy with Crystal Slash. As long as Skarner has at least 1 stack of Crystal Charge, Crystal Slash deals bonus magic damage.
And that is all you need for essentials. For fun, some other suggested changes:
