Idea for Akali mini-rework
I think that Akali needs more balance in her playstyle to improve her laning but decrease her point and click burst if fed. I don't think her numbers have been that great in season 5 and I know there are dozens of criteria for if somebody is considered weak or strong by Riot, so this is all my opinion. I personally enjoyed her the most out of any midlaner in season 4 but do not enjoy her now.
My ideas would be...
Q) Make her q into a better farming tool instead of using it to proc for high damage on attacks and allow it to be a skillshot to increase her skill cap. This will potentially help her in her rough early farming phase and reduce her all in burst once she hits 6.
W) No more invisibility in the shroud (which will be controversial but it actually stinks as an ability once the enemy team hits 9 and gets free pinks or if you are playing against lee sin.) Plus she is a below average champ before level 6 so you arguably have a 3 level window where it can be used very effectively at the moment.
If you kept the shroud as part of her kit, you could instead make it a high damage area, or a slow/speedup zone or where she gets better defensive stats.
E) E is actually fine as it provides an effective wave clear tool and helps with jungle camps.
R and passive) Include an extra part of her passive that if she gets a kills she gets 3 seconds of stealth, in the same line as Jinx with "get excited." That way you can maintain that aspect of her identity and reward her for successfully going "all in" on somebody while also providing an escape like other assassins have. Keep all the other aspects of her R the same except split the difference between the old R and new R in terms of range.
Overall: -Lower burst potential by removing the q proc altogether. Help pre-6 laning phase by using it more effectively to last hit. -Nerf shroud by taking away invisibility. Add 3 second invisibility as a reward for kills instead. -Leave E alone -Slight increase in Range buff. *If any of these things are too weak or too strong you can use her lifesteal passive numbers as a fine tuning lever.
