Their release schedule simply can't do one of everything each year. I'm sure we'll get something soon enough.

well you see mages are an iffy subject in this new season because riot has to come up with a mage that isnt basically copy pasted from any other mages in lol and any other moba (which is hard because so many ideas are already taken and used up), then they have to actually fit that mage into the game visual and gameplay wise, then theyre faced with the challenge of actually balancing that champion. IMO mages are really hard to create. I too want a new mage because mid lane is getting boring as hell with so many of the same champs being used

that same point can be applied to every role: "it's really hard to come up with an adc because they basically just auto-attack so their spells shouldn't be very strong"... in fact, i'd say that as mages aren't really strong on their AA or very tanky, they are the ones that offer the highest amount of possibilities, their abilities can be made more independently of those things.

Where's a new Assassin then? Since Ekko arbitrarily doesn't count, we haven't had one in 3 years (4 if we aren't counting ), so its more important.
