5.22 "Pushing advantage" punishes 4v5 even more

Nekusen··30 votes·1,419 views

The new Pushing advantage mechanic buffs your minions if the average level of your team is higher than your opponents, this will only make 4v5s even harder for the 4 team and a more one sided steamroll (as 1 of the team will always bring the average down, be it to lvl1 or whatever level they had when they left)

Unless there is a way to solve 4v5s this won't make it much easier.

Silver lining if you fall into a 4v5 and no one wants to surrender it at least ends the suffering a bit faster possibly even before 20 minutes... Yay -_-

I have won many 4v5's as the 4 man team

Sometimes the other 5 are just bad players and you can still win easy. 4v5 isnt insta gg ff 20

it isn't if you have a better team, but if they apply this, 4v5 will be much harder for the 4 team.

On top of this, the afk on your team is getting the bailout gold while the lowest income person on the enemy team actually gets to use their bailout gold.

i like the idea of turning 4v5 into 100% Loss. In my games, I like to type in chat to the enemy team to put their spirits down, and talk about about the person who's doing awful on their team, so that way they will rage quit. Riot is making this more of a viable strategy. I like their ways of increasing** strategic diversity.**

Eh, if the enemy minions are pushing harder or whatever, doesn't that mean you get to freeze/farm more? Forcing the other team to try and group and dive or something. 4v5s are going to be at a disadvantage regardless, IDK if stronger minions makes it that much worse.

it means it forces your team to split in order to protect different lanes, making you weaker in teafights, giving enemies map/dragon/baron control

So literally no different then before.

You are right, but Riot cannot balance the game around 4v5.

I don't like that change for other reasons, but I would never criticize based on 4v5. That's not how the game is intended to be played, and it isn't their fault that people leave games.

They could make it so players with the afk status do not count towards the average level.

Right they are trying to smooth out the game to prevent games that drag on longer then they really should, it wasn't long ago complaint threads about how bad 4v5's were roamed the top voted threads for awhile, and now a solution to those (ending them off quicker) exists.

But flip the coin, if your on the 4 person team and play smart with objective control you end up with the advantage and it gives you a better fighting chance then before.
