As a player that uses many champions

20 max mastery pages are too little, and we need a way to better organize masteries for when you have to make a quickpick.

Honestly I've just been using one page for the most part and changing it in lobby every game as necessary.

The 20 rune page limit is a bigger problem.

Papa Slothy2 votes

same, I only have one called "I own multiple champions" and I just change it to whatever I need

How do you use that many with the new pages? I understand with the old ones but the new ones are just so generalist that it's easier to just have general pages and modify them a small amount in champ select.

You need champ select's time for other things

LankPants3 votes

Not really, you get around 2-4 minutes of downtime as as a FP and you can buy about a minute even as the last pick in the game by not locking until you have to. 1 minute is more than enough time to change masteries as long as you have some idea what you want.

In blind you generally know what you plan on playing fairly early. It's really not that hard to get a working page in time. If you're a bit short on time it may not be perfect but I don't think that's super important in blinds.

As someone who also uses many champions I only need one mastery page.

Riot literally made the mastery page so easy to fill out during champion select.

I have 18-12-0 18-0-12 12-18-0 12-0-18 0-18-12 0-12-18

Adjust as needed

Ive gotten used to making tiny changes to them on the fly, maybe thats what they want?

Keystones are just a wee part of it, fury/sorcery, double-edge/feast, etc.etc. i use at least 3/4 combinations per keystone in average (i play every role with a variety of champions)

Faie4 votes

I only have one mastery page now, since choosing what you want is fairly simple. It takes me <15 seconds to clear and make a new page, so I do that every game. Also this guarantees that you'll never choose a wrong page.

Overkill much?

Shiroi Kitsune2 votes

If it's really a problem for you, just use one mastery page, and change it each game. It forces you to keep in mind what your mastery pages even are, and lets you make smaller changes for your match-ups.

Weathered2 votes

Use three pages, one for each tree. Then edit whichever in lobby. It takes about 4 seconds to click and switch the small masteries, and it's actually really neat.

DrShoking1 votes

I find with the new masteries being so simple this season i just have 10 mastery pages that I just change a little bit depending on the situation.

Jayrett1 votes

I just have 11~. A page for most keystones with Ap/AD variants when applicable.

I agree I thought the old masters gave us like 25 pages (which still is not enough) and I've had to mold a lot of my masters pages to fit multiple Champs (ahri/lux/ect.)

I can't think of a technical reason riot should lock us at 20 mastery pages when they have like 100+ Champs and you don't pick them in game so it can't be a data limit or lag issues.

The new client will have a way to reorganize rune and mastery pages

kaltenashes1 votes

i got 16 mastery pages, its enough for every pick i get and the goddesses know i play a lot of champs, filler main =D

....(and a experimental adc with grasp of the undying, just for fun)

Valderis Vandala1 votes

Yeah, even when cramming many champion together into using a single page I barely have enough pages for all my champions.

Also, because this cannot be stated enough, allow for the moving of pages so we don't have to re-edit everything when all we want to do is move one page amongst many.

Slamurai Jack1 votes

That's why you use 19 pages and then use your final page which you change on a game to game basis if none of those other 19 are appropriate.

Envy Sin1 votes

Who remembers changing your only rune page every game because you only had what (3?) anyways.

HayRoss1 votes

I use about 10 or so for a list of champions that I KNOW I'll be needing a page for, and then I set aside one page for changing during champion select. You have to be fast, but it's the best thing right now

Bladerunner77771 votes

It's not really a problem if you just go back and delete the pages that are identical

most of my ap champions use the same 1 or 2 pages. All of my assassins use the same page

Bladeglory1 votes

I have two mastery pages for each keystone, each using a different sub-tree. When I get a champion, all I have to do is decide which page I want, then I go through both trees and do any flips I think will benefit me. Takes only a few seconds to do, especially since I don't think a lot of the choices are especially hard...

theArtifacts1 votes

How much do you really change between all of these champs? If it's a matter of changing the key stone that's a max of 9 pages. If things get drastically different.. there's another 11. Most champs of certain skill sets would use the same masteries so there is really no need for that many. I have I believe 14 going right now, I only use 6. Need to go in and delete a bunch that are similar.

Nekusen2 votes

there are 9 keystones, you have 2 subtrees, so that alone already accounts for 18 masteries. then add choices inside the main tree and secondary tree, that at the very least duplicates that number.

Ayame Isaki1 votes

I don't know why you are being down voted; I agree with you, 20 is insufficient and I wish they were alphabetized (rune pages too).

Have an upvote.

The Rewritten1 votes

I have "quick-pages" for my top 19 champs.

My first rune page is titled "Extra Page (Urgot)", for example, whenever I want to play Urgot. It'll change whenever I want to play a champion that's not in my top 19.

Apollogy1 votes

Yeah, I have a page for each champ, a page for each general role, then a quick page I can change whenever.

What we really need are ways to edit rune pages, not even sure why you need to pay for them, but I have 20 so I can cover all my angles...

DemoGuide1 votes

I would really enjoy color code for mastery pages. So i could recognize my pages for mages, tanks and ADCs without clicking on them.

rtbf2256182411 votes

Honestly, i have no more than 8 max. They are versatie enough to be used on all champions. Wth is the problem here? 20 pages is too much for me.

SociopathFriend1 votes

...There's 9 keystones- even doubling that (cause two paths to get to any given keystone) is only 18- 20 is more than enough to cover all of your pages.

As for organizing- you have a drop-down menu that lists your pages. If you have so many pages that it takes you longer than 5 seconds to pick the right one then you might want to have less pages or be clearer in how you name them.

LilxPaprika1 votes

I take a screen shot of the ones I like, kind of painstaking but only for really worth while ones

Speedphoenix1 votes

I play many champs (I play a lot of aram and never reroll too), so what I do is i only have one mastery page, and I change it at the begginning of each game depending on what and how I intend to play

Nekusen1 votes

yeah, but many times you are forced to make a quick-pick and you don't have enough time to fill your masteries.

at least if not giving us more mastery pages, at least a way to organize them better, like rearranging their position or the ability to tie pages to certain champs, kind of like you do with custom item sets.

Manilith1 votes

hey i know how you feal i have 16 and im constabtly changing pages when i play mostly 3 roles top sup jungle such a pain when you get those awsome vs pages that are situational

ForgiveColour1 votes

you honestly only need 3 pages and switch during the champ select rofl
