Udyr minor mobility buff (some slow resist in bear form)

So my suggestion would be to give his bear form a bit of slow resist not much just like 10%. Which would be fitting. Since when are bears deterred by a bit of mud. they can plow through any terrain. Reasoning: udyr was built for a playing field void of iceborn gauntlet and the plethora of active slows that are now present in the game. His kit is from an antiquated era. Now sure you could say that about most champs however his gap closer is far more effected by these than other champions who can dash/hop etc.

Keep in mind udyr has no ultimate per say. So his regular spells need to have it incorporated in them. So it'd be like having a bit of slow resist where as say a master yi can have slow immunity, and an olaf cc invulnerability. While less potent, the advantage is that you have it throughout the game as opposed to every minute.

Yer but considering the state of Udyr adding more power into his kit would only be for the game's detriment imo.

Unless ofc this buff comes with a nerf somewhere.

I'd totally give up 2 stances entirely just to make bear stance faster lmao!

no no and again its a stupid idea to buff udyr in an way

he certainly lacks any blinks or dashes but he is one of the most mapwise mobile champions and pasively mobile champion

so dont try to buff his mobility because its already top tier

if you have a problem about him being old then ask for a rework because old champions tend to be plainly op when they get buffed even a little

oh and i forgot to tell you that your logic sucks here a little udyr has to have some weakness, he already wins any hand to fight hand and can catch most of ranged champions easily you ask to remove his only weakness

He's already very strong doesn't need a buff of any kind

I dont find the need for it just due to my build that fits my needs item 3009 item 3172 which probably always has these 2 items I dont sell my boots, fk me right? I run aorund the map with a near perpetually ~600 movement speed I've grown really fond of high speed travelling junglers cuz my team needs their junger everywhere 24/7 I feel like experimenting with speedier but squishier Udyr builds since I've noticed I dont take alot of damage anyway

I played a split push match as hard carry Udyr once (unfortunate me -_-), and though everyone else really got shut down, and I couldn't do much to help, I ran with those items and Trinity, and really it took four or five of them even circling around to catch me half of the time. Even with sme decent crowd control, I never really feel like slows are an issue past, say, midgame. Mostly it's stuns, and I think having one of those permanently on a six second timer is more than enough to handle it.

lol this right here The other day I ran through teemo mine fields with a rengar chasing me that rengar never had a chance...

I've actually chased a Teemo down in my jungle and theirs several times over a single match, with Udyr. It wasn't always easy, and I admit I lost a few times, and he got away plenty. But I can't think of anyone else besides Yi who could have occasionally done the same, whereas when I caught the little shit, or anticipated his hiding spot, it was over for him. His broken body got me fined for littering it was strewn in the weeds so much.

another idea would be to have his passive reach max (or perhaps gain two stacks) stacks every time he uses his e. His e stats are subpar because they take into account his passive. they also lowered his base movement to factor in his passive. Compared to say a shivana w. who has 5 more base movement speed and a faster initial speed on her W. this would help for his early game where using spells to maintain and max his passive costs considerable mana.

Do you play udyr currently and find that slow is that big of a deal with your active speed boost?

with the jungle buffs, does stance stance revolution udyr really need a tenacity esque buff?

-no

wow convincing argument you made a play on words. I guess i'll pack my bags and go home this case is closed. There are many down sides to bear stance: first off Its quite predictable lack of element of surprise the distance covered for every second chased the deeper into their base you end up. the time it takes to get to the enemy might allow their spells to come off cooldown. udyr has no ult to pair with it.

udyr is slippery when he wants to run away buts its quite the opposite when he wishes to engage to not make his escapes that much easier I would recommend the slow resist only work when running towards enemies not while running away. this might help him turn to stun a target like Ashe who would persistently slow him.

{quoted} the distance covered for every second chased the deeper into their base you end up.

you know the fact that you state you're in their jungle and you sight a buff as a downside to invading their jungle, should tell you something.

slippery when he runs away but opposite when he engages? wtf? his tools to run away are the same to engage are you smoking crack or just hoping if you cry enough your favorite champ will get buffed?

harsh words but i upvoted this

udyr is already excessively strong in any way possible and his only weakness is an ashe or ezreal spamming slows which also isnt so effective i already saw udyrs just rushing through slow fields to oneshot a carry

LilxPaprika1 votes

ya but ull never ever see udyrs do that in competitive play. and game balance is designed with that in mind. If we buff udyr so he's competitive and it just so happens that he recks in normals so be it.

The buff I suggested by the way are so minor they're already in the game. use defensive mastery 10% mov speed slow (my suggestion is even weaker since its only when facing enemy). or make sure you use two spells prior to engaging an enemy with e to max your passive.

also engaging is a lot hard than disengages. not everyone is in range of you when your running away from them (making it hard for them to consecutively apply cc). where as when you engage you enter everyone's venndiagram sort to speak.

the thing is that you remove his ONLY weakness

LilxPaprika1 votes

i'm not removing it... im reducing it. how else does one buff a champion. one way or another a buff will improve on a weakness.

Knight SoIaire 1 votes

the thing is that rolling udyr is already barely stoppable even if blue ez spamms on him

rather than a buff this guy needs a rework aimed at his interactivity since the only thing that affects him is cc and with his speed sometimes even that fails besides that this guy doesnt even aim his skills
