It's not exceptionally different from SR, just 1 top lane, 1 bot lane, and a "jungler" or support who can drift between lanes, hopefully keep an eye on and stand their ground on the altars at least until help arrives. No dragon so Shyvana is less useful, and traditional jungling does not really apply. Vilemaw is about equivalent to Baron, but contested less often because it's harder to kill with only 3 and dead center rather than offset. Bigger risk for a buff that's not quite as helpful as Baron.
[Edit] Also, team comps are different. Normally, you'll see 1 "tank", one mage/assassin, and one adc. Unless you've got a Kindred, the mage/assassin tends to be the support/drifter. Just like SR though you've got vatiations with 3 "tanks" or 3 assassin/mages, etc.
Builds change too, as you want to ramp up as fast as possible but as EVENLY as possible - in other words you may not finish an item chain completely until you have 4 or 5 items in your build.

VS
(ie not "rushing" Blade and Bers but getting all 5 of those pieces before finishing one)
Because while you want the LS and dmg and AS and armor etc., it takes too long to rush just one item. You'd go the entire first 15 min without any armor or whatever, and like SR games are getting faster and/or shorter (I still think they need to revist altar timing and maybe use TT for a special game mode - ARURF TT edition anyone?).
