Fixes/discussion for fervor hit champs
This will mostly be focused on the jungle champs (actual person experience with these guys). Everyone who plays more on hit champs can most definitely recognize the damage even before the changes became live. 2 major things were hurt for these champs this preseason. The first issue is mastery change really cut out a lot of their sustained dps and with many of them choosing sota for their safety net mastery option those who cant use CoC are kind of left out in the rain. The second issue is the jungle change really screwed these champs ability to farm the jungle properly and healthily in the jungle in the early mid game thanks to their primarily single target damage kits and the new jungle really favoring strong AoE clearing champs.
Looking at pbe shyvana (used both fervor and sota) we can make some idea's of changes to most definitely improve the damage of their damage sources and give some help to the safety net of some who's are lacking or was lost that wont put them over the top. Other things that need to look at to help them are tweaks to their jungle item.

obviously this item was meant to be a nerf from sated's superscaling effects with on hit kits/builds but even with bloodrazor alone vs devourer alone, devourer actually does notably better. Against squishy champs devourer was universally better, and even against tanks the need for them to itemize harder against it made devourer's damage better against them rather than having one armor item shut down current bloodrazor. Another big thing that may have been forgotten from riot is the damage from bloodrazor having no effect on the major objectives of the game, turrets, and having less damage against non champions at almost every point of the game compared to devourer.
Basic attacks deal 40+2% of the target’s maximum health (capped at 35 damage against minions and monsters) as bonus magic damage on-hit. Recipe
This is a middle ground between the devourers average 90 per hit damage and current bloodrazors 4% max health damage. This would be the biggest thing that would have to change that would universally benefit all the champions hurt by the fervor change. Still not as overall strong as devourer of course thanks to the lack of phantom hit. But better than current bloodrazor by having a better early-mid game power and having a roughly equal later game.
change the on hit damage to splash like kayle's righteous fury. Technically it will help all of the junglers but it should mostly help the single champs with many of them having built in attack speed steroids
This is a champ who is notorious being able to somehow always work with the available pool of builds. That hasn't changed even now, and it seems like he has migrated into CoC and is seeing success with it. He is the best example of "if you can use CoC reliably just switch to it and you should be okay". He doesn't need any changes really.
Another champ that is surviving, the changes. He is survive best out of all the fervor users, he is in a state that any more shift in the meta that would hurt the fervor users would put him in an a bad spot from just barely surviving. As a champ that can reliably set off CoC it would be worth considering trying it out on him. Again considering his state he is in I wouldn't say it is wrong to give him a little bump up.
Counterstrike: 50/75/100/125/150 => 54/78/102/126/150
Giving jax a little bit more help with the AoE camps, mostly to help with the earlier farm as the commonly max last ability and not putting his later game out of hand.
He is another one just scraped by from the changes, I am sure mostly because of of the fact of so much AD scalings in his kit set up for short term dpsing.
Audacious Charge: 12 second cooldown => 11 second cooldown.
Not much to say about. Last direct tweaks to him put him in the problem spot. This would probably be least noticed by those who don't know the champ well but well recieved on those who do. Aimed to more improve his early jungle farm with his AoE skill being more available, without buffing his main engage skill damage and potentially turning him into an assassin.
This champ was one of the more notable problematic balance issue champs, and needed the nerfs most. Adding splash to machete's damage plus the pbe buff to rageblade and botrk, one being core and another a common item choice kayle wouldn't and shouldn't be getting any direct attention.
This guy is already slated for a rework so I am not sure if riot would want to make any more changes to him honestly. With a kit that is exclusively single target damage he probably has the biggest hatred of the jungle changes, and as a champ that builds no Ad and prefers on hit the fervor change was a hard hit too and really needs help for any hope of survival if there are any mains that want to survive with him.
Hungering Strike: Minions and monsters near the target are feared.
A helping safety net in the jungle to hopefully put him in a slightly better place before he gets his rework.
He has been in a notoriously bad state since the removal of devourer and is known to be in a weak state for both his AD+crit builds and his on hit builds. In the state he is in especially as a more farm heavy jungler it wouldn't hurt to give him back some of the lost damage.
Double Strike: Each double strike damage 50% AD => 60%
Alpha strike: 100% AD ratio => 120% AD ratio
This should help him with fervor still being his only real mastery option, and really shouldn't cause any substantial jumps into a problem state of performance. Although it would help the AD crit build more adding damage to him should help both options to a degree. In the earlier stages his farm should be a bit healthier with a buff to his source of AoE camp clear skill.
Taking hits from the preseason changes of both mastery and jungle changes just not as much in the same way as the more powerfarm focused junglers. The change in jungle spawn timers have reduced the ability to get jungle marks, and one of the first possible camps that can be marks is distinctly more dangerous for kindred to try and get. Lost power against champs with the fervor change reduced the ability to get marks from champ kills. Kindreds general performance state is very similar to the current live performance of shyvana who isn't doing too well also in the preseason like should be known also.
Mark of the Kindred: 1.25% current health per mark => 1.25%(+0.01 per 2 bonus AD) current health and benefits from life steal
Dance of Arrows: 3 bolts => 4 bolts and each bolt additionally deals current mark damage
Really hammering doing kindred importance of their marks in a way that they can benefit from the bonus fervor gives, while adding in a small safety net by allowing the mark damage to benefit from life steal so it is possible to better possible to consider adding botrk into their builds. Improving kindreds AoE camp clear with adding an extra bolt and adding mark damage in a manner similar to current lives wolfs frenzy with a mark system that can scale from building both AD and attack speed will allow kindred players to not feel as bad for building AD, and allow for an actual harder hitting kindred if they build heavily into AD.
