Eedat1 votesI remember one time I was playing with some of my IRL friends who are Bronze in norms. I was laning against a Bronze Darius who took Exhaust/Ignite summs as Wukong. I solo killed him repetitively with Flash/TP lmao. I almost felt bad for the guy

You would need sub 50% winrate to actually be in bronze in the first place, since placements put you at silver mmr
A Doorknob1 votesIf you're in bronze, you're better off just not playing ranked. The system is not functional. But don't tell that to people, they'll tell you you're just not good enough to be promoted. Promos stop you from being promoted as they're luck based for any elo. Winstreaks stop you from being promoted as it eventually places you in unfair matches, and between the amounts of trolls/afker/tilters/feeders/smurfs, normals are just better. Can't tell you how many times I've encountered a Darius that goes 15-2 in less than 10 minutes. It's just no fun.
Eedat2 votesI climbed from S5 to G5 with a solid 67% win rate last season. Not once did I notice Riot "punishing" me with below average team mates. Although It's true I was getting matched against Plats and High Golds in S2, they were on both teams. Never noticed Riot making my promos extra difficult either. I actually havent lost a single promo since Season 4.

A Doorknob1 votesA promo series based on best out 2 out of 3 or best 3 out of 5 is a system based on luck. It just requires to land in the promos enough times to eventually pass you forward. This is a frustrating system. If riot wanted to fix this, they would keep the promo system for master and/or challenger and allow all other ranks to just rank up. Why have a tournament style system when competing for such a low rank with no rewards? At least for Master/Challenger it makes sense to have, you're competing for the title to go Challenger, a limited placement spot. Bronze,silver,gold,plat and Diamond do not have these issues. So why a tournament system when the placements aren't limited?
As for Win streaks, the more frequently you go through a win streak, the higher the odds are for you to be paired up unfairly.
As for the Trolls/afk/feeders, I don't know how it is in other elos above gold, but I doubt they're the same rate as Bronze. I've been in S2 and it wasn't as bad. As for Tilters, I hear they're the worst at Platinum. elo.
