Why the Warrior changes on PBE were reverted?
I would like to know the reasons why Riot has reverted the changes to Warrior. They were pretty nice and allowed Warrior to scale well into late game, just like the other enchantments. Currently, Warrior is the only enchantment that falls off late game.
Warrior is the only enchantment that does not have any interesting passive. Cinderhulk is essentially an HP Rabadon. Devourer doubles on-hit effects when stacked. Runeglaive has a Spellblade passive. Warrior, well.... has flat armor penetration, and that's it. Nothing interesting about that, and it's not like there are other, common items that offer superior amounts of armor penetration.
Also, flat armor penetration is only good for early game and even then, it isn't that good. Armor is pretty cheap and champions have a lot more natural armor, when compared to magic resistance.
Granted that Warrior could be a little OP the way it was presented on PBE, but it's nothing that balance changes couldn't solve.
The only reason why I could imagine that the changes were reverted is because the new Warrior could make some champions such as
,
, and
super broken and make them once again dominate the metagame. We don't want them to be the kings of jungle again, and be overpicked just like they were early on this season.
