There should be a way to swap positions in draft/ranked modes

Many People choose draft mode over blind mode to avoid arguments with other players over a lane. However, in draft mode i noticed so many times that some players are auto filled into position they never probably played before. Thus these players choose champs they are most comfortable with disregarding whether that champ is even viable in that lane. Such as today i saw an illaoi as a support as the player got autofilled to be a support. I had to swap places with him so that the team doesn't suffer. However afterwards i didn't get the "guaranteed" position award of being a support. So if there was a function that allowed him to swap support position with me on the selection screen then things would have been easier.

Ok fair enough, if it's just not worth the hassle and the time then i totally agree the guaranteed award is not worth much or if at all.

It's a thing built into the system. In-game you might have been a support, but in-coding you were the lane you were assigned. For them to make a system that "swapped roles" it would be a giant waste of time and resources that could be spent elsewhere for something so minuscule just to get the auto-fill block for 1 player out of 5 on a team.
