Is Leblanc even an Assassin anymore?

So it's just as the Title says, is Leblanc even an Assassin anymore? I mean, sure, her damage after the rework is crazy... but that's on paper. Meaning, theoretically, if everything goes correctly, you can do a LOT of damage. However, I've found that in 80% of cases, I either don't come close to killing my target, or I just barely get the kill in. And this isn't how an Assassin should work, out of all the champions that got reworks, Leblanc's is the only one who has to wait a noticable amount of time to kill her target, EVEN if it's an ADC. Late game, Leblanc's damage numbers are crazy, doing ~2,000 damage with her Mimic E + Passive, and yes that plus an auto or Q is enough with thunderlords to probably kill the ADC. But getting that damage off takes WAY too long, and late game you aren't going to be killing ANYONE unless they are caught out, or just really bad. There is literally no way to kill ANYONE, even while extremely fed, in under 1.5 seconds. Meanwhile, every single other Assassin is able to burst you in this time, every ADC has time to use their mobility to get out of your chains, or late game they can just 3 shot you with lifesteal. I've gone for the Mimic E + Zhonyas then follow up with a Q or something, but most of the time they end up getting away or I just die instantly afterwards. They gave her more AoE in her kit, which is, in theory (again), nice. However, if they expect a LB to go into a fight marking everyone, and Q to set it off there's no way she's going to be able to with the delay, the delay is fine otherwise, but if you W into a teamfight and can't snapback, you are more than likely just going to get blown up.

I really enjoy the kit and all, but I just think it relies way too much on the passive, the time you spend waiting to pop your passive is plenty of enough for anyone else to just blow you up. And if you build the recommended healthy items with RoA and Protobelt, HOW are you considered an Assassin anymore. Now sure you do damage but you simply CANNOT blow someone up anymore, and it's just unfair for Leblanc imo. She's supposed to be an early game Assassin anyway, and buildling RoA does NOT imply that in the slightest, thats something you build because you want to destroy in the late game. But your late game is already bad, now you won't have a good early or late. :/

Or maybe I'm just playing it wrong, I don't know. All I know is if ANY other Assassin comes up to me, I'm screwed. Where as before I could at least try to outplay them because my damage would be enough, but now, I MIGHT have the damage, and even if I do, I can't get if off fast enough to counter at all.

She's still very much an assassin. I mean, what else does she bring to the team besides single target burst? Her AoE has been improved but its still nothing to write home about, especially in comparison to most mages, and its not like Assassins aren't allowed to have AoE. The only other class tag that fits her is "burst mage", but she is differentiated from most burst mages in her mobility and focus on single-target damage. Mobile burst mages with mostly single target damage are still effectively Assassins (see: Ahri)

Having a delay in her damage doesn't change what her kit does - which is mostly just damage. If you think her burst is weak or unrewarding, that doesn't not make her an assassin, it just makes her a weak assassin.

Well, I do support the idea to give her passive a scaling from 1.5 s to 1 or 0.75 s...

The whole point of the rework was to give people time to react to assassins. So now they can jump over a wall blow you up and disappear like they used to with no counterplay. If Lb wants to blow you up she needs to prep you first by marking you this gives the player a warning in a way if you don't gtfo you are gonna die its up to lb to trick and mauver her way so she can mark some one then still follow up with out dying

The rework may not be great, but ATM a well played LeBlanc can very safely kill someone with them being unable to react.

What I like doing is chaining literally anyone in fights, literally anyone, they will be fal heathed then ult your chain on someone else and the use another chain, and w to kite and trow a q whenever. I do this when behind, also LB when behind still has damage.
