So reworked Rengar is broken, right?

I don't have any statistics or facts or any of that, but I can say that ANY game that has a Rengar currently in the PBE, I never see them with less than 20 kills, at least. The whole point of the rework was to increase assassin burst window and allow counterplay, right now theres no extended anything, he just kills whatever is in front of him, and the only counterplay is to buy a zhonyas or have flash, and if you use zhonyas, he'll just wait and kill you when it goes off, or if you flash, he'll just bola you and kill him anyway. Speaking of which, I've had his bola alone hit me for 1000 dmg, and at lvl 14 777 damage. wtf, it's already a root >:( Any thoughts? I can't be the only one who thinks he's extremely unhealthy and unfair to play against. Also, why is Rengar allowed to ult in his base, and make it all the way to the enemy base before it runs out?

They gave him a mini olaf ult so they increased the kill window but made you less able to actually do anything to stop him unless you are playing Veigar with 2000 AP.

As someone who has been playing on the PBE a lot, what you see on the PBE is not indicative of how something will perform on live. In PBE, it is mostly silver and below players who are matched with some plat+ player that gets fed AF. Also, literally everyone is playing assassins and there are no tanks or actual team comps. When it hits live, people will actually play cc tanks and peel off rengar easily.

Rengar is the exception to the trend of assassins in the update. He's designed to pounce and trounce. It's slightly harder to land his q now, but unlike the rest of the assassins he hasn't had his burst window extended. This is balanced by the fact that he has no great escapes. If he dives into a 1v5, he'll probably get that kill, but he'll be dead shortly after.

To be honest, the reason you see Rengar so fed is because everyone in PBE is dicking around. Well, almost everyone.

I had more trouble jumping a team of bots than regular PBE players.

i don't think this is true. From what i've seen, PBE is FULL of low elo players, i don't mean to sound like an asshole, but low elo players, and higher elo players handle these situations differently. WAY differently.

IN MY OPINION. Rengar still fulfills the important aspect that he has in his current kit right now: Which is go in, kill someone, and die right after. He isn't building tanky, so someone like syndra, who is currently in meta SHOULD be able to 1 shot him, or a late game ADC, who is equally as powerful should be able to kill him if he goes for the mid laner.

The way i see it is this: In his current and reworked kit he has to choose whether or not he wants to kill the ADC/MID laner. The tanks usually CC him after he has done that, and he dies right after. Doesn't feel like there's a problem with this as he's ALWAYS been like that.

The problem might be that maybe his 1 shot combo is too easy to do, as it seems that only experienced rengar players can 1 shot efficiently right now.

Just played a top lane against rengar. I just pushed the first wave up, and went to ward the river brush. He was in the bush, jumped and q me 2x for 490 dmg total and ignited me (killing me), how is that balanced laning game play when all he needs to do is have 4 ferocity and jump?

(just want to state that i am not on the PBE and only have scene gameplay from those who are on it)

So far he has a slow start and players are getting use to his ult, cant use it in a fight to lose aggro since he can still be seen until he leaves sight range. But after that, when the ball starts rolling, he still remains the same beast that we all fear before.

Use the control wards when confident he is ulting, learn to dodge his Q, which does more damage at the forward hit.

TL, DR: Is the reworked Rengar broken? Not really.
