Hi,I am going to start logging every game where I have a troll or afk.

Remakes do not count as the system in place for remakes works well enough for me. Though as I have been playing this season the number of trolls and the lack of care is ruining the gameplay for me. I want to be able to load into a game of solo/duo and not auto lose due to a person having a bad mental health day. So for my sanity, I'm going to just keep a log of how many trolls or afks i get for the rest of the season.

I will put the date and what happened. This is mostly to just show how often this can and does happen. While I may be just unlucky I don't even care anymore. I will play and play but im tired of not even getting the chance to play a match out.

These are only ranked solo/duo matches as well.

4/27/2019 Kogmaw stands in jg all game cause top picked thresh. First game of the day

4/28/2019 Lucian is not doing well so he leaves the game comes back but still just afk's in well after pushing out but since rengar and I were ahead we won the game.

I am very interested to see the data in a sample size of 100 games though. Looking forward to your findings.

u was over 50% and after a bad streak i went around 45% lmao and its still hard recovering i straight up stopped playing ranked for a while especially now that im dealing with some afk issues myself

No I do not think ill log smurf accounts as trolls and afks ruin the game straight up but smurfs will still play on your team and play the game even if they blow everyone out of the water.

You're matched with people likely to troll when you are significantly outperforming the other players. You're matched with Smurfs when you're significantly underperforming compared to the other players.

You're matched with people likely to troll when you are significantly outperforming the other players. You're matched with Smurfs when you're significantly underperforming the other players.

I guess it's only okay if his allies are better than him. If an enemy is and dominates his ally, his ally is trolling.

Honestly, I do not understand your reply, I just do not think it possible to log a smurf account when I cant tell if said person is smurf. Also the rules say I cannot use or show summoner names soi will not.

Also worth noting: Bad games =|= trolls.

Going 3/12 in an obviously bad game, but not giving up or inting, its not the same as running it down. Some people just get dumpstered. As long as OP is good at determining games where the 0/12 mid is just getting murdered apart from the games where the 0/12 mid is screaming "open mid, report my team!" and playing touchdown (which seems pretty damn easy to me) he'll have accurate data.

Exactly what you say people have bad games and that happens not every game is going to be good. I have couple games in my match history playing ADC where I was dumpstered. It was not inting or trolling just a bad game. With the data I plan to collect it is not about winning or losing. (Though I like winning). It is about getting the number of times someone can be trolled in ranked.

Peoples definition of troll have become so loose that anyone who plays poorly is automatically a troll. Personally I see a real troll once every 50 or 60 games and my report usually gets me a feedback.

Yes, I agree the term troll is used loosely but for this post only true intentional feeding and afk is making the report.

Pointless, riot doesnt give a shit. All they care is the verbal abuse and toxicity. Soft inting and trolling is never going to be punished. Even with video evidence they wont do shit.

When I play ranked I try to win, rarely surrender regardless of what is going on, and try to work around things. Even if Thresh was a suck-o-matic it wouldn't stop me from playing and just sitting in the jungle, that's boring.

I ‘d also make sure to keep track of clean games as well, just to ensure the final data doesn’t become overtly biased.

the problem with tracking "Trolls" is different people have different views on what REAL TRolling is.

IMO Trolls are ...

  • People who run it down mid
  • Afk in fountian
  • Follow jungler around intentionally trying to steal camps
  • Using abilitys that effect teammates but in a way to try and get them killed (anivia walling)
  • Following someone around but intentionally leaving them the second a fight breaks out and never using abilitys (a little harder to determine as sometimes fights are questionable)

Trolls ARE NOT ...

  • Off Meta Picks
  • Off Meta Builds (unless its like a champ that has 0 ap scaling but builds FULL ap items, though this is also sometimes finicky as things like ap shyv can work or AD Neeko but their kits have some kinda utility that supports the builds, but a Garen isn't going to benefit from a death cap)
  • Doing poorly in lane (especially now that snowballing is at an all time high)
  • Taking a few CS while holding a lane or a gank that you got a kill or to help push the lane after a kill
  • going off to help another lane real quick as a support or going to ward

You be surprised how many people think ALL of this is TROLLING, when it really isn't you be surprised how many more games you win by actually working with people doing weird things, I've won so many games with Ahri supports or shaco supports or garen mids and thresh tops because my team doesnt scream and yell at them. but i do lose games with meta champs on my team alot because people like to complain about small things or harass each other.

Um. Keeping logs won't help you with your mentality. You'll sink even deeper cause they are as heavy as anchlrs lol.

This is not for my mentality. I played this game collegiately I know what it takes to keep playing and grinding this game. I'm doing this to put into perspective how many games are just unwinnable do to afks or trolls. Ranked is suppose to deliver the competitive experience that some people want out of this game. Though it is often not a competitive environment when situations like this happen.

I do agree with that. These trolls pretty much fuard the fates between ranks and divisions. But then again, I at least legitimately make sure my team loses the moment they tell me to kms. Shrug.

The list is based purely on my solo/duo games, To get a number of how many games are trolled in comparison to real matches.

Please provide a clear definition of "troll" and of "afk."

Remember that you will not be able to post your findings on the player behavior sub-forum due to its rules.

The clear definition of these two is that the player is intentionally doing this. If they are inting kills thats going on the list, if they rq and say something "like thats it im done" and leave it makes the list.

Low amount of data tho if you consider thousands if not hundred of thousands of games happen daily. In the end it will equal out, that's just how statistics work. Additionally there are factors including yourself, if you generally tilt people, (this is not an accusation just a hypothetical factor) it is more likely for them to leave the game.

Honestly, the funniest thing is I knew as soon I as I started logging the trolls and afks. That it wouldn't happy anymore now that I'm logging them.

how's going? I actually quitted Lol. Game is in a bad state but the reason i quit is crashes. After this patch me and My Sister crash in The same moments with 2 different PC!!! This happened for 3 days in a row and After that client has To repatch xD Client was fucking up My PC so i uninstalled.

When it comes to afk, are you going to include the times that the offender is trying to come back? Like times they dc and reconnect every 10 seconds

If a guy played 15 minutes and leaves without saying anything and comes back it's just an issue on his end not intentional. Only intentional trolling, feeding, inting, or afk will make it to the list. Bad games are just bad games

I am as well my goal is to get a sample size out of the games. To determine the percentage of how many games on average are just unwinnable.

How strict are you going to be with what counts as trolling? Can you actually and truthfully judge it objectively?

It'd be interesting if you did, but few people actually can.

Its is only going to be logged on this board if it was truly intentional feeding or quitting. I'm super lenient on on dc and afk's as computers are not always reliable and I have dc'd a few games do to technical problems my self.
