Silver in platinum?

Hello all, So, I am platinum since season 4, and my MMR has been platinum/low diamond since then. But lately, I had some loses (7 win 13 loss last 20) I am still plat 4.

I just played a game that felt very low level, and at the end of it I said "it's weird, it felt like a Silver game", because it was legit the feeling I had regarding macro game and micro game.

Guess what? There was 2 Silver in it. wtf. Why? It makes games so bad to mix plat and silver... plz... Fix this

I have played in Silver, Gold and Plat a fair amount of games, and yes, there is a big difference.

If you can't notice it yourself, check out some stats, for example: http://www.leagueofgraphs.com/rankings/game-durations

You are Diamond. I have played many games with Diamonds, and also with Masters. The difference between Plat and Diamond is the same as between Gold and Plat, and between Silver and Gold (comparing division 1 to division 1 or 5 to 5).

The difference between Diamond/Master and Master/Challenger is much bigger though.

played a bunch of games with master chall players during early season because i had 68% winrate in d2 and insane mmr master players are litterally the same as D1's you only see changes in challenger 400+ LP trust me. I hoped otherwhise aswell i was proven wrong. also i've never won a game with a challenger on my team and always win against them. the only challengers i lost against where in flex que and they were all above 600lp ( but i trol in flex so do they... not an accurate outcome. )

OCE <- There's the culprit. If you are playing off peak time in smaller zones like OCE, and even sometimes during normal hours, matchmakers gonna give you some wtf moments.
