Yasuo loses his bonus crit chance, but his crits now do full damage as compensation...

Cloud273··1 votes·1,423 views

Furthermore, when he gets a crit with his 'q', everything it hits takes crit damage (kind of like how Sivir's 'w' is now). Additionally, windwall has its cooldown reduced at all ranks (exact numbers pending). Would this be a fair change in your opinion? I know the general attitude is f*ck Yasuo, but if we were to shift some power around in his kit I feel this would be a good way to do it. Less of a monster in the mid game, but stronger late when he actually finishes his crit items.

Reducing the cooldown on his windwall is literally the worst possible thing you could do for him except allow a full rework by the "balance" team.

No, he doesn't need a full rework. He just needs a power shift.

No, he needs a nerf. Remove the windwall entirely. It is oppressive, non-fun, and has absolutely no reason to exist except to make him overloaded and unfun and overpowered and to take away the ability to punish him.

Players hate his Windwall. Why on earth do you think this would help people be less frustrated with facing Yasuo. If you removed his double crit chance then the compensation would mainly have to be with base stats since his are pretty bad.

Because he's losing the bonus crit. This is more than fair. It's honestly more of a nerf to him overall.

Double crit really isn't super unfair since he has been balanced around that as one of his most important points of balance while his Windwall is one of if not the most game changing ability in the game. It has the potential to almost completely negate marksman and remove huge Ultimates from the game. The power of double crit chance is nowhere near the power in his Windwall.

Sorry but I disagree with this. Double crit is just as strong if not moreso than windwall. Yes it's a strong ability but it's not like LOL has a shortage of powerful, game changing abilities. Assassins have the ability to one shot anyone they choose, Anivia has magic damage that crits, Veigar has an ability that either stuns someone or traps them in a cage they can't escape (same with Camille) and yet we're perfectly fine with those for some reason. I see no reason why a defensive ability shouldn't allowed to be strong as well.

I don't know anyone who hates wind wall. That's the one predictable, constant, easy to monitor part of his kit. It's also the only thing keeping him relevant defensively. His shield isn't designed for survival, but to buffer engages.

What we hate: E and Q are spammable once he builds a couple items, for no cost. He can reposition himself to anyone/thing, which makes about 70% of the entire game's skill roster only "iffy" at even hitting him. Far more skills are mitigated by E than by WInd Wall.

And then there's his Q, which is an "Attack" but doesn't behave like one, applies both spell vamp and life steal, and applies crit and maxes cooldown after 1 item.

People hate the windwall. He does Braum's ability better than Braum. What a joke

Illabethe1 votes

It has a very very long cooldown..... People who are adept players do not skill before it's gone, or at least use important skills/attacks. They bait out its use, and then ready to engage either on one side of it, or wait for it to end at a safe distance.

Only really bad players complain about the part of the kit with a 20 second cooldown, even if it does cancel a class of skills.

What are you talking about. 30 seconds is nothing. It's every wave. Why would he need it more often.

Illabethe1 votes

Your GAME on average only lasts 60 of those 30 second intervals.

And it's not about waves. It's about when you are skirmishing.

Yasuo literally freezes your lane for you. He has no choice. Surely you can farm under your own turret.

Only place to hate Wind wall is Drake/Baron/team fights.

Yasuo only builds crit because of his passive. If you did this change he would likely just build bruiser.

And why is that a bad thing? He's a melee champ.

so a champion cant have unique build path and have always to go to the other champions build because he share their range?

You ever play against frozen force yasuo? Because that's how you get frozen force yasuo.

cabbysb3 votes

just remove the windwall... he does braums ability better than a straight up support/tank.

This would be an overall Nerf to Yasuo. They need to just straight buff him. In example,

  1. Reduce the amount of attack speed he needs to reach his Q's CD cap.
  2. Remove the crit damage penalty period.
  3. Buff the base damage on his E
  4. Buff the duration of gathering storm to 10 seconds
  5. Give him an actual Keystone again.
  6. Allow the armor pen on his ult to apply to non-critical strikes

Etc.

this will make yasuo goes the bruiser build, which frankly will be way more hated then current build imo.

He's already building bruiser items anyway though. This honestly wouldn't change much at all.

hrooza dota 1 votes

no he does not build them unless you are saying a single bruiser item is (items).

his build is way closer to an adc atm since he build crit first
