I wish we'd buff more champions

Like there are so many champions that literally lose every single matchup they have. I wish we buffed them more, even if that meant they'd be broken for a patch or two.

A lot of people complain about power creep when you say this.

These same people are mysteriously silent when its their champion being buffed.

This isn't even about power creep. Everybody thinks buff = increase damage.

The world isn't going to explode if some of these champs had base health increases so they can sustain 1 or 2 more autos.

This is what grinds my gears. The moment they see a buff they yell damage/power creep.

That goes double for champions that have a dash

Like, seriously. You've said basically nothing if you aren't providing a good number of examples to back up your claim that there are "many" champions who have this issue.

We can just as easily make the claim that we should nerf more champions because there are a good number who win every matchup. And it could be refuted without evidence all the same.

Some of these may have already been buffed but here's a handful of champions I would like to see get buffed:

Zyra Ziggs Zac Viktor Veigar Varus Taric Talon Syndra Sona Soraka Skarner Shen Ryze Rumble Orianna Nidalee Nautilus Mordekaiser Maokai Malphite Lux KogMaw Kennen Karma Illaoi Heimerdinger Gnar Fizz Fiddlesticks Elise Ekko DrMundo Corki Braum Blitzcrank Bard Ashe Annie Amumu

I don't think all of these champions lose every single matchup they're in, but I'd like to see them be played more.

None of these are true wtf.

If you're losing every matchup as ALL of those.... Then I'm sorry to be the one to inform you but you probably aren't all that good at the champs.

Volibear I can see. The one strength he has, there are champions who can do better and have more strengths. Udyr in particular. But the others, that's on you.

Yeah you can win with these champions, that doesn't mean they're supposed to win in the matchup.

You're trying to say those champs are countered by everyone. That's just not true. They may be less popular and not performing well, but that doesn't mean there's no circumstance they work in. Shen, in particular, is usually balanced around his ult for pros. Has nothing to do with the general playerbase. Azir's quite difficult and has unique mechanics that require more practice.

Mundo's in dire need of a rework.

In most cases, when a champ is actually being out-performed and out-picked by everyone in a role, they need a rework, not buffs. And that's the case with Mundo, Voli, Singed, Fiddlesticks and Tahm Kench at least. Corki could use some adjustments to his scaling. And Karma keeps getting unfairly hit by the changes they make to keep Brand and Zyra in line, which is a different problem from buffing her numbers.

I think this is just a matter of difference in opinion. I'd rather have other champions be buffed to be able to fight the meta than the meta itself getting nerfed.

Just because they need a rework doesn't mean they can't be buffed.

In theory, these champions should not be winning their lanes, and the only reason they do is skill difference between players and teams.

YES FUCKING PLEASE. champions feel so much more balanced after theyve been broken, look at garen and darius two guys, they were broken but are now ballanced and have always been viable since. volibear is my main and im a platinum top laner so i disagree iwth that, like why not just make amumus W slow just to see what happens? i mean kayn does bonus damage to creeps just so he can jungle, how come other junglers that are struggling dont get the same?

im actually pissed ever since they stopped breaking people it feels like the game doesnt change from ahri mid, zed mid, leblanc mid, basic adcs. and tanks almost of of them are completly unplayable just do a major patch like they did in the past all for tanks, change tank items. it seems like the only time i see and amumu is an ap amumu.

also nautilus is very very very good right now take him off that list. illoai as well, gnar is still good.... brand is still good idk what thats about at all, and ziggs and veigar dude?? relax there are some fine ass champions on there, but still comeptly agree if they all got buffed it would be nice because lately the pool has felt limited and most of these champions on your list could be buffed and there would be no problem +100 base health and still wouldnt be broken.

fuck riot make some buffs quit leaving things in the dust.

Nerfing a champion doesn't have as much as a direct change to the meta as buffing other champions that are so bad they're not viable. That is why I said I'd like to see more buffs.

Sure, if a champion has a 55% win rate they should probably nerf them. I didn't say we shouldn't nerf champions. And cool, if a shitty champion had a terrible matchup against that 55% win rate champ at least that matchup doesn't suck anymore, but that doesn't make champions who are bad see play, it only makes already played champs see more play.

I'm saying we should buff champions that are so unviable they're not picked. I'd prefer to see these champions see play and be broken than the current state of champions I see all the time being picked 24/7.

I'd prefer to have health buffs over damage buffs too.
