@Riot What was the reason to NOT keep the illusions on LeBlanc's reverted ult

Afterall, I recall it was supposed to be a partial revert?

Also, isn't she supposed to be a deceiver? I mean, now she has no way to deceive when she wants, only when she's lucky....kinda unfair tbh.

Old LB mains/players bitched about new LB. Riot listened.

Instead of fine-tune so that she doesn't become the "finish game in 30 minutes or 4v5" champion, they gave up. Good ol' Riot.

Yeah I agree, this is dumb. Her wave clear is gone and her "decievefulness" aspect of the champion is gone. I loved playing old Leblanc before rework, and after rework I thought she was a lot more fun and interactive, so its kind of hard to go back to the boring champ that 1 shot nukes champs but has 30 cs at 30 mins.

I just love the reasonings:

  • "RW allowed her to always be safe" - Yea, if she's fed enough to not need her ult, or she gets away if she gives up the kill, because early game she doesn't the damage without an RE or RQ, so there is no RW to get away if she wants kills early.
  • "Pressing 2 buttons is too hard" AzuBK - No need to mention here.
  • "Her delay was too much" - I though it was a good idea tbh, early and if she's behind, she has to actually use her skills to "deceive" and out play someone if she wants the kills, and if she's fed, she's a Noxian, I felt like she was "playing" with her target, something in the lines of "You are free to try and run, not that it will matter".

She fit her theme and she was healthy, the it was just the meta that didn't favor her, but oh well, let's hope she gets a full scale VGU to make her an actual deceiver, not what she is now.

I'm not sure what the reasoning was. Whereas the Kog'Maw revert was needed because it was either him or remove every on hit item and Rengar was reverted because they literally just added a window that made him feel clunky as hell, I think LeBlanc actually had legs.

I used to play LeBlanc before they removed her silence, stopped playing her after that, and started again after the rework. Yeah it's a balancing nightmare and the playstyle has some new stuff but RR was awesome and I like how some of her spells interacted. I'm gonna be sad to see this revert honestly, I think she should be escalated to a tier 1 VGU now so we can get a true deceiver because her old kit is just so... old.

It was stated it's a partial revert, but in the end, became a full revert. "Riot listens", yea, when so many players ask for them to keep at least the illusions on R, if not the whole R, but we didn't got that.

It's sad when a good champion gets the leave because it's the meta that doesn't favor her, but too many people cry. Right now she will be easy to balance, afterall "Too much damage? Lower numbers. Too little damage? Increase numbers. Simple" But that's what she deserves.

I will miss her waveclear and her R R mechanic (hello i'm here but not realy).

No one falls for it, aside when her rework was brand new.

Seriously, I've seen more lb use it as a scouting method.

I have never seen someone waste a summoner because of it, we can normally tell it's an illusion because they always walk until they cast a spell at a certain range.

I didn't ment the RR illusion, but the on cast illusions that she got after casting RQ, RW or RE

i agree, it was good to find this topic, although i made my own as well. i didn't much like the revert that was done to her, i am a relatively new player and i started playing when she had already gotten her rework and seeing the patch notes i was a bit scared to see her change so much, i think i can adapt to it, but i really didn't like the change, it took a bit for me to get familiar with how to play her, and this revert seems to make her even harder to use properly. Her passive feels pretty useless too.

Leblanc could use her silence back.

That had to go, was a bit too much.

I don't think this patch is too much on her side, from the little play I did with her after I came home, but I do want my illusions back. A good bunch of the kills I got were because of Soraka more than me outplaying the enemy, but if I had the same R illusion mechanic she had before the revert, almost all of those kills would've been legit outplay.
