Thoughts on Mana Changes

I don't really hate the mana changes and I do not mind it. I am more upset that the community is constantly complaining about botlane and the impact ADC have in games . . . but they prioritize mana changes on mages. So for 3 to 5 patches mages are going to be gated by mana changes and have their playrates effected, but ADC will be in the same spot they have been in: cheap itemization, crits doing too much damage, too many ways to survivability, better itemization, and too much damage. Why don't they hold off on the mana changes and wait for everything to come out at once? Nope. They won't do that.

ADC need to have something like the mana changes you are giving mages. ADC need one or a combination of things done on them below:

  1. Higher costs on their itemization.
  2. Less accessibility to crit chance or lower crit chance itemization.
  3. Less damage on itemization.
  4. Nerf the heff out of Maw/Hexdrinker . . . or make it melee only.
  5. Create clear and concise itemization that only ADC can use. ADC can abuse too much at the expense of balance. I mean look at lethality and all of the problems it has created. If there is a problem with a specific type of champion that cannot really use itemization, change the way that champion functions or create itemization/runes/masteries that these characters can use.

I don't know why mages have to suffer all the time because Riot is too stubborn and slow to actually work on what needs to be worked on. Release the changes all at once instead of targeting mages all the time.
