Deaths dance passive should be on a tank item.

This item by itself makes every bruiser a better tank than any tank in the game.

The damage reduction passive should seriously be on a tank item. Not a ad bruiser item.

Apparently more than you do when you respond to something?

Why should it when it doesn't even have a damage reduction passive in the first place?

I just want the item to not exist. If the passive is so good that it makes bruisers more durable than tanks I can’t imagine what it would do to tanks.

Be playable again?

The passive on death's dance is meant to give squishy damagers a chance to lifesteal before they get bursted. That's why it also has a healing passive. It's not so much a bruiser item as it is a adc item.

SithesisLord3 votes

Except literally all of the item's users bar Draven have one or more forms of sustain built in and therefore, are pretty far from being squishy.

Its not a tank item. Its built to be a bruiser item. It would be far too powerful and awkward on a tank item.

Critmaster Garen2 votes

there is absolutely no point in putting that on a tank item. the only reason for this passive is to turn burst into slightly more sustained damage.

tanks already dont get bursted.

like if you were talking about the lifesteal+spellvamp, then this might be something to talk about (?).

still, you should expect juggernauts to benefit from a lifesteal+spellvamp/tank item more than tanks would. which i wouldnt mind though.

Read my post and realize I said the passive. The thing that reduces burst.

And bs tanks aren’t getting bursted. That’s WHY they are unplayable right now.

yea, the 30% damage delay. thats completely pointless on a tank item.

Critmaster and I rarely, if ever, agree on anything.

In this situation, he is 100% correct.

Tanks are no where near "unplayable" right now. They have a good spattering throughout the tiers of all of their roles. Now, are they the best? No, no they aren't.

But they don't need to be in order to be valuable and pick worthy.

Because of deaths dance existing at all, there is never a good time to chose a tank over a bruiser.

Can you do It? Yeah. But I can go adc Darius to. Doesn’t make it good.

Yeah, the item that only a very few handful of champions even want to build is making tanks not be valuable... It's not like they have plenty of other uses outside of just being a frontline. But whatever tanks are sure "unplayable"

i actually meant that this mechanic would be completely fucking useless for a tank.

this wouldnt even be a buff. it would just be the most useless item in the game, maybe next to ohmwrecker.

like make a tank item with a 30% damage delay if you think that helps. but im pretty sure its not even going to affect tanks. none of them would be interested in it, because what kills them is already sustained damage. so this item would be turning sustained damage into... sustained damage?

they dont take enough burst damage to make the effect even noticable, and even if they did, they generally wouldnt have a mechanic available to outheal the true damage dot like death dance has already inbuilt. maybe some exceptions like zac and mao who have high inbuilt sustain? thats still highly questionable. i cant even think of a single tank who would gain value out of such an item.

This effect might be useful in a few niche cases for tanks, I could see it being useful against true damage champs (looking at Vayne).

true damage is not affected by damage reduction.

true damage is not affected by damage reduction.

Indeed, the language of the passive is:

UNIQUE: Stores 30% of all physical and magic damage received, and is taken as damage over time true damage instead, dealing one-third of the stored damage every second.

deaths dance shouldn't have the dmg reduction. we wanted an AD spellvamp item, it's great, just take away the dmg reduction.
