I can't believe i'm saying this but i do believe some small lucian buffs could help in balance the current adc meta, i know what you guys are ganna say, that if he gets too buffed he will become top tier again but him getting gutted is why utility adcs are so dominate and if they had something to challenge them in lane then maybe jhin and ashe and ezreal wouldn't be picked in 95% of games. What do you guys think?
Ermunaz1 votesI think buffing some other early lane bully would be more appropriate as Lucian has seen so much play for extended period of time. And I do not mean just tweaking values, but maybe add some perks to their kit that would give them slight edge.
Utility carries, from gameplay aspect, should have some of their laning power traded in their stronger presence in later stages of the game. Besides, utility carries are slightly more useful for the team when behind. This does not include eazreal really as his utility comes mostly of Iceborn Gauntlet proc from long range.
But no, I do not want to see Lucian in the meta at least for a while. Besides, the preseason changes are just under way with assassin update so this will stir the meta so much that making changes now would such fuck things up. Like mobile carries are going to become more popular if the assassins become meta. That would basically drop Jhin out of the picture right off the bat. Not to talk about item changes that will nerf assassin items on carries so Jhin will get hit by that one too.
It is too early to make any changes now that preseason is not even live, so try to keep your pants on breh.

From the sounds of it from pro players points of view this assassin update will more than likely not make assassins meta because of how much counter play they have now. I dunno i still think lucian should get a nudge atleast to possibly balance out the bot lane utility adc meta.

thats because people are tankier now so the armor pen build is gonna suck on lucian late game
ur better off buying crit agaiin on him but then again if ur gonan get crit ur better off picking jinx or cait
Ermunaz1 votesAssassins are also getting some buffs to them with the itemization. They are incentivized to roam by giving them tools to more easily get successful roams off. This will make immobile picks really weak as they can be reakt early in the game even though they have increased counterplay. The best way to counter assassins now is to have shit warded and prevent them from snowballing. Them getting more tools to roam is a bigger buff than the increased counterplay is a nerf imo.
