Before you continue to buff crit
Consider instead nerfing every other instance of AD outside crit items first.
Consider instead nerfing every other instance of AD outside crit items first.
Tanks can build against traditional auto attack reliant ad with
while these items would in theory also hurt ad casters, most ad casters have good access and synergy with
which provides really good cdr and also synergizes with lethality (by lowering their armor by a % of total armor...
I feel like this has to do with why riot feels like they need to overbuff crit , nerfing ad casters of one class (assassins like
etc) would mean nerfing
pretty much anyone who abuses black cleaver will get hit if they target black cleaver.
I would be so happy if
was removed from the game and the champions that abused it got compensational buffs...its not an item that you support your team with its an item that you dominate everyone with, it doesn't counter tanks it counters everyone because of the raw stats it gives ontop of the armor shred, it throws balance on its head.
That build versus the auto attack adc does all of jack. I also okay with black cleaver being removed % pentration of an already underwhelming stat isnt really healthy
Those items actually do a lot and that's probably why riot had to overbuff crit adcs in order to let them compete with ad casters that don't have a true counter.
IF ONLY WE COULD PUT ITEMS ON THE FUCKING DUMMIES IN PRACTICE TOOL /end rant
I agree. Leave marksman in their 8.12 state and nerf everything else.
and of course ability-based marksmen as well so ezreal, corki, miss fortune, varus, etc don't just dominate again XD
Crit doesn't need buffs. This is the exact same situation as the "ADC 2K17 LUL" meta where ADCs were fine, but people whined so Riot overbuffed them, then we got the cancerous ADC centric meta of 2017.
They could start by reverting the +5 AD buffs they gave to most AD items
oh, I know, lower their base ad by 5, that always solves the problem
look at
and
and I forget who else that it became a meme...
and the 18+ ad buffs they gave to adcs when gold nerfed crit items (not damage nerfed gold nerfed) -4 base ad +22 scaling ad on average on every adc. Also the hp buffs they gave them Why dont adcs every get nerfs without getting buffs and learn to play with the nerfs like bruisers and tanks have to.
If you nerf all AD items you'd have to nerf AP items. I don't know about you but I don't want a bunch of Brand APC's replacing the current ADCs just because AD items are bad.
Or just nerf Brand, which has been warranted for all too long. Other outliers would receive similar treatment, as they are strong mostly only due to their need to combat overall power of AD champions this meta. There are far more mages that aren't performing at top levels that don't need the collective nerf to the class.
Alternatively on the AD side, the champions that are performing worse are mostly those who would actually benefit from an overall AD decrease since they tend to be the ones who shine in slightly longer fights (at least non-insta-burst fights).
Both. Veigar (and nasus) in that same vayne of thought. If anything just nerfing the reliability of their stacking and taking away that stupid 50% additional cdr on nasus q during nasus ult.
I still like my old suggestion a long time ago on Nasus Q cd. Having it separate from the ult and instead on Spirit Fire to where Q hits on targets affected by Spirit Fire reduce the cooldown of Q by 50%.
They wanna say he's a juggernaut and then instead of giving him a specific power condition like other juggernauts they instead just gave him a generic statcheck increase.
If they coupled this suggestion with a slight AD ratio increase on Q so his power isn't just drastically lower without Spirit Fire but is drastically higher with it (50% CD + 35% armor reduction) he'd still be in a fine spot but with more counterplay for his targets.
If you nerf all AD items you'd have to nerf AP items. I don't know about you but I don't want a bunch of Brand APC's replacing the current ADCs just because AD items are bad.
Tank items would also need to be hit.
If AD and AP items get nerfed/ended up bad.
Tanks would end up immortal.
If you nerf all AD items you'd have to nerf AP items. I don't know about you but I don't want a bunch of Brand APC's replacing the current ADCs just because AD items are bad.
Brand was buffed because of the loss of Deathfire Touch. Don't get me wrong, they shouldn't have done it, but most other AP DFT users received nothing and it shows. Also the AP items were already nerfed for the most part in the "rework"
I wouldn't mind some Brand APCs carrying as bot lane. I would love if
were the bot lane meta for a while (with marksmen still making up 30% of bot lane picks or so). One thing to keep in mind though, is that MR is much more effective than armor, so the team would still need an AD source in another role to balance out the lack of an AD marksmen bot. That means that you'd still likely see marksmen in top or jungle
or even mid
so the marksmen class would still be represented in the game even if marksmen weren't viable in bot for a while (and 30% pick rate would still be considered plenty viable by non-marksmen-monopoly standards).
I think the healthiest diverse meta would look something like this: Top: Primary front line (Tanks[all], fighters[all], Battle Mages, beefier Skirmishers)
Jng: High engage / beyond enemy lines (Vanguards, Divers, Slayers[all])
Mid: Extremely diverse; Artillery (artillery mages, marksmen), Assassins, Battle Mages, utility/cc mages
Sup: Diverse utility providers (enchanters, wardens, utility/cc mages)
Bot: Long-ranged damage dealers (artillery mages, marksmen) and utility carries (utility/cc mages, secondary enchanters) for extra laning synergy with a support
Every role would also have some exceptions, like top Urgot (unique marksman/juggernaut), jungle Fiddlesticks (mage) and Kindred (marksman), mid enchanters (lulu) as counters against overly high-engage focused team compositions (ie., double assassin comps), odd supports like Teemo (AP marksman) and Shaco (assassin/catcher) for vision control via traps, and special cases like bot Mordekaiser (juggernaut).
So team comps in such a diverse meta could vary a lot between matches:
Top:
Jng:
Mid:
Sup:
Bot:
Or
Top:
Jng:
Mid:
Sup:
Bot:
Or
Top:
Jng:
Mid:
Sup:
Bot:
And every class would be playable in around 2 different roles each. Rather than a marksman being mandatory, you'd just need to fulfill these requirements: a front line, a back line, sources of magic damage, sources of physical damage, sources of CC/utility.
Honestly I want them to start gutting champions. In an effort to deal with the rampant damage creap in the game.
If we do that, then we would have a SPIRAL of NERFS so yeah
[zombie-brand-clap]
I know this is out of the vain of this discussion, but as a
player who uses AD items. I would be okay with the nerf considering kled is sitting at 50% RN... however please fix the tanks who are just a better version of me like
This champion can beat me at my own game by doing As much damage (more if you consider his AOEs) as me AND taking mutliple of my rotations when I can only take one of his. Counter play is minimal because of how small my hitboxes are and how big his are so it takes a lot more planning on my side to go even into him because after a trade he's much healthier than I am.
TL;DR also look at armor heavy champions who are over preforming before an AD nerf to bring damage in line. I am not against longer TimeToKill at all, (in fact a kled player would be biased towards it due to remount mechanics and etc) but we needn't swing all the way back to tank meta (at least in top) if we don't have to... I like the skill expression at least this high even if we DO have champs that can burst us to death.
